Caitlin's pov
Vi and I were helping Milo and his staff get the cafe cleared up and ready for the grand opening. "I am so excited!" Milo squealed, and I watched as Vi hug up the plac that explained the painting with all of the kid's names and ages, as well as the workers' names.
"The parents will love it, and the public. They will be talking about it for years to come." I said to Vi before kissing her cheek. "Thank you, Cupcake." And just like that, 12 o'clock hit, and we all went outside. Milo spoke into the microphone.
"Hello people, I know why some of you are here today. It's because of the history behind this building. It used to be a nursery. A Nursery where tweleve children were murdered along with their three carers. I would like to welcome the original owner to help me open this new cafe in honnor of those 15 lives lost."
Everyone started clapping as Greyson walked up to the door and put her hand on the sissors to help Milo cut the ribbon and the doors where opened.
People started to walk in, and Cait moved to stand by her mural in case people had questions or job offers. I looked to Greyson, who hugged Milo when she saw the mural and started sobbing. "It's so beautiful... thank you so much..." Milo hugged the woman back and introduced her to the artist. I moved to the corner, so I was out of the way of customers.
I stood there for a while and watched as people smiled and asked questions about the mural. Most people were so upset to hear what had happened. Other not so much.
"What? Why would they want to remember that? I don't want to think about dead kids whilst I eat, especially not kids from the undercity."
I sighed and thought it wasn't a good idea to get involved. People will have their opinions as long as they aren't being abusive to Vi or the staff, then I'm not going to worry.
After the long day of endless customers and some people just wanting to see the mural, a man with a camera came in. "Hello, I am Mr Johnson, I work for the town newspaper, I would like to take a photo of it with the artist for my article." Vi was shocked and couldn't find the words to answer, so Milo and I both said. "Of course!" I moved Vi into position, and Mr Johnson took the photo and asked. "So Violet? Where do you come from?" Vi looked to me, a silent question, if she should tell the truth. I nodded, and Vi answered.
"I am from Zaun, actually. My little sister was a part of a project to get great minds from Zaun into a place where they can become great people and have plenty of resources. I was not about to let them only take my sister, so they let me join the school too. I actually got a great education here and passed all of my courses."
The reporter smiled and asked. "Could I put that in the paper?" Vi nodded, and he started to write what she had said. He then asked. "Could you also explain what got you into art?"
"I've always liked art, but never had enough time to do anything as big as this. I was painting my bedroom wall when I realised it was a great canvas so I paint a tree with different coloured leaves. My girlfriend posted it, and it got a lot of attention. People like my work, I guess."
After signing a contact with the reporter about him using her exact words, and that if he didn't, she could appeal to have the article taken down. She also reseaved a copy of her words as proof. We went home, and I checked the post, tons of people started to follow Vi and were asking about how to get her to paint for them.

Caitlin's POV
Vi was late home from her new job, and I was starting to get worried. I called her but she didn't answer.
I went to call the police but I heard a fud come through the front door, Vi was lying there bleeding and bandly bruised. I rushed over to her and held her close. "Vi, baby, what happened?" I asked, worried to hear what had happened, and to get her cleaned up, I pulled Vi onto the sofa and got the first aid kit.
She was covered, her side was bleeding through her shirt, she had a black eye, her nose was bleeding, and her legs were bruised.
I started to clean her up and asked. "What happened?" Vi looked away and sighed. "You'll just get mad." She said. I looked to her. "Mad? I'm already pissed, Vi tell me what happened." I said more assertive.
"I was walking home, it was a quieter part of the city, one guy came up to me and asked me who I think I am. I was confused but just tried to walk away, but his buddy was there. They asked me why I was here. And why I was an artist. They were blaming me for their problems. I thought I could fight them so, once the first guy threw a punch I punched back, but then three other men showed up and they beat me up, I fell down and they started to kick me.
I basically crawled my way home. I am so pissed right now." I started to clean Vi's stomach bruise up of blood. It took a little while to clean it, then I bandaged her up and helped her sit up so I could clean her face.
"I think we should go to the drs tomorrow and get it checked out. You could have a bruised rib or worse." I said before putting an ice pack on her black eye. "No, Cait, they won't see me. They wouldn't even see Sky when she wanted a regular GP appointment. They don't care if we need drs Cait."
I sighed and cleaned her nose, then checked over her legs. "I'm so sorry this happened Vi. You don't deserve this." Vi stopped me from helping her and held my hands and pressed her forehead onto mine. "This has been a lot of people's normal. That's what I want to fight." I nodded and kissed her cheek. "I believe you will change the world, Vi. I can't wait for your message to reach more people."
We stayed like that for a while, but Vi started to hiss at the pain in her side, so I helped her get onto our bed so she would be more comfortable.
"Is that better?" I asked as I checked her bandages again. "This is perfect, thank you, Cupcake. I've been in fights before, but I've never come out so wrecked, and I've never had anyone else to clean me up and help me before." I kissed Vi's head, but she moved me to kiss her lips. I pulled a way after a while and said. "Stay here, I'm going to clean your painting clothes." Vi nodded, and I left the room.
I went into the kitchen and started to clean Vi's shirt. The blood came off quiet easily, and then I washed her trousers, which only had drops of blood on.
I grabbed Vi's painting bag and checked it for blood, but it was clean, so I didn't have to unpack it.
Once I was done, I plated up our dinner and brought it on a tray for Vi. I sat next to her, and we ate together whilst Vi told me about her fights in the under city.
