The following day, I stopped by at Yeji's place to drop her off some breakfast and hangover medication before I go in for work.

I knock on their front door and one of their helper answers.

"Come in" she says so I awkwardly step in while holding the bag with two hands in front of me.

"Miss Yeji, your friend is here to see you" I hear the helper say.

I wait for a few minutes until she finally comes down.

"Ryujin, what are you doing here so early?" Yeji looks like a mess but she's still beautiful.

"I brought you some food and medicine. You drank so much last night so you might be feeling like crap" I say.

"Oh my god, so you really did pick me up? I'm sorry. I'm so embarrassed" she covers her face.

"Don't be. Take this" I hand her the bag, "Do you remember anything else?"

"Not really. Everything is a blur. I just remember calling you to pick me up. Thank you by the way."

"Of course" I smile. A little sad that she doesn't remember anything that she said from last night.

"I should probably get going though. I still have work" I say.

"Right, thank you for breakfast."

We stare at each other, not knowing why neither one of us is trying break the contact.

"Ryujin."

"Yeji" we say each other's name at the same time.

"Go ahead" I say to her.

"I" she pauses, "I really appreciate this. Thank you" She looks at the food in her hand.

"You already thanked me literally not even a minute ago" I chuckle.

"Right, Uhm, what were you gonna say?" She tries to move on.

"I was just gonna say I really do have to go or I'll be late" I chicken out. I was gonna ask her to go out for dinner.

"Oh okay, I'll see you later" she steps forward and hugs me. There's a lot of hesitation in her hug so I react the same way.

I turn around and leave her house. Once I get in my car, I start punching the steering. Why the fuck was that so awkward?

I start my car and drive to work. I need to forget that whole interaction. I went over to her house all excited then the moment I saw her, I choked. Way to go Ryujin, I think to myself.

What is life right now?

I get to work and I'm still early so I decide to organize my work station a bit. Not long after, Beomgyu comes in.

"Hey, you're early. Are you excited for your first full day maintaining machines?" He laughs at himself again with his play on words as a maintenance.

"I guess you could say that" I shake my head while smiling.

"So today, while we wait for any calls, I'll show you our most used parts that we always need to have in hand. So we always have to check that we have it readily available on the shelf" he says.

"And we will go over procedures with the lockouts and tag out too. Are you familiar with it?" He ask.

"Are you forgetting I came from the line? Of course I know" I say with arrogance but in a joking way.

"So since we're gonna be a team, we should get to know each other" he looks around like he's thinking of something.

"Are you and Haechan a thing?" He ask and my eyes widen.
