CHAPTER 8
I can't help but blush as I shower this morning with flashbacks of last night's escapades filling my head. I've decided to do a wash and go on my hair today so with that in mind, I wet my hair slightly. I try not to fully saturate it being that it would take too long to dry. After getting out and doing my morning skincare routine, I grab a pair of gloves out of my drawer before grabbing my hair gel. I hate the feeling of the gel and hair on my hands so I put the gloves on before sectioning my hair and detangling each section.
As I gently rake the product through my strands, my mind continues to wonder. There's no longer a doubt in my mind that this is real... This is not a dream. I want to call my sister so badly, but she would never let me live it down. Being that my vacation is over, I have to go back to work today. I'd thought about speaking with my therapist or one of my colleagues about it when I got to the office, but I can't do that because they would absolutely strip me of my license and commit me. As if to rid my mind of these thoughts, I shake my head as I begin to defuse my hair.
After it's finally dry, still wrapped in my towel, I go to my closet to pick something to wear. I choose a white silk blouse and a light blue pencil skirt. I'm feeling feminine and confident today, more so than usual. Like, I know I'm not ugly, but my mood is giving bad bitch energy and I'm here for it. I stack a few gold necklaces and a pair hoop earrings in my ears; diamond studs in my second hole, third hole, and helix. I decide to wear a couple of my gold rings as well. Black lacey bra and black thong is the move today. I get dressed, throwing on my nude heels before descending the stairs to open the door for Brandon and the crew.
"Good morning, guys! I have to go back to work today but call me if you need me and I'll get back to you between sessions. Also, don't worry, I'll lock the door from my phone when you all go for lunch and open it when you come back," I say as I make my way to the kitchen to make myself an iced coffee for the road.
"Alright, Miss Tia. Have yourself a good day. You look beautiful, by the way."
"Thanks, Brandon."
"You're more than welcome," he says before taking his bottom lip between his teeth.
I can't help rolling my eyes as I grab my coffee, phone, and keys from the new countertop. I head out the door with a pep in my step and a cocky smirk on my lips.
It feels good to be back in the office, although I miss my "men". I must be shining brighter today as my colleagues continue to compliment me. I'm eating their praises up with a spoon...keep them coming. They bombard me with questions about my vacation but I've never been the type to talk a lot about myself. I pride myself on my Beyonce' level discretion. I let them know that I enjoyed my time off but it's good to be back. We share a moment more before I go into my office to prepare for my first client of the day.
After five sessions and two no shows, I'm able to catch up on some of my notes before I leave. What should I have for dinner tonight? I grab my phone and place an order to a small Korean restaurant near my house since I'm in the mood for kimchi and a spicy beef stew. I also decide to add an order of gimbap. Since I'm already out, I decide to grab the food on my way home.
Once I've made it home, I see that Brandon and the crew are long gone. I'm pleasantly surprised to be met by my men. I can't see them, but their scent lingers.
"Hi, guys!"
There is no answer. Slightly disappointed, I place the food on the island before grabbing a glass of wine. The weather is nice, so I decide to eat on the patio again as the sun has started to slowly fall from the sky...It's so beautiful. Being that I'm toting a pair of DDs and I'm wearing a white shirt, I strip off my clothes before I start to eat. I'm infamous for spilling or dropping food on my clothes and my sister jokes that my 'titties be hungry, too'.
