Chapter 18

How long have I been out? What's going on? Where am I? These are the questions I have when I come to, along with a splitting headache. When I open my eyes, I see all seven of my loves surrounding me. Someone has moved me to the bedroom again. My head is banging... feels like I'm storing someone else's memories combined with my own, but my brain is struggling to encompass them all.

Suddenly, I'm overcome with sadness, the ache in my chest is near unbearable. I feel as though I'm going to be sick when I'm suddenly recalling the last memories of my dear men. It's like someone is trying to rip my heart out of my chest but as I look around the room through blurry eyes, they are all looking at me with hopeful expressions.

"Tia... are you okay?"

Through sniffles, I reply, "Jimin." His eyes grow ten times in size.

"You remember us?!?!?!?"

Instinctively, I reach out to rub my thumb against his cheek, then turn to smile at Jungkook, confirming his assumption. I try to sit up, but my body screams at me to stay still as I'm incredibly sore.

"Just try to relax for a while. You fell back pretty hard," Jin explains.

My body feels like I've been in a car accident. I'm thinking it must be due to that ball of light that came out of nowhere and whooped my ass.

"Guys. I'm fine. Just sore, but I'm sure I'll be alright."

Yoongi runs off to the bathroom, returning with Tylenol and my bottle of water.

"Thank you, babe. Could you pass me my phone, please?"

I take the medicine before reaching for it and text my coworker to let her know that I won't be in tomorrow. She replies that she will reschedule my appointments I had for Monday. I also text Brandon to let him know that I'm not feeling well and will stay in bed tomorrow.

My phone dings, notifying me of his response.

'Hey... sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Anything I can do? The guys and I will start on the countertops in the other bathrooms and the basement so that you can rest unbothered. We should be able to knock that out this week and begin in your bathroom next Monday if that's okay?'

I'm a little disappointed because I was so excited for my bathroom revamp but there's nothing that can be done about it. Besides, it's only delayed a week, so I tell him that I'm okay with it and thank him for understanding. I'm glad that he seems to have come to terms with us not pursuing relationship, even though I still catch his eyes wandering from time to time.

I put my phone down and let the boys know that I'll be staying home with them tomorrow and, of course, no one objects. Instead, I'm cozily sandwiched between Namjoon and Hoseok while Jungkook and Jimin climb in on either side of them. Taehyung pulls the wing back chair closer to the bed, with Yoongi taking a seat on the arm of it. Jin sits at the foot of the bed, surprisingly finding my feet, and massages them through the blanket. Surrounded by love and comfort, I fall back asleep... voluntarily, this time.

Hours later, I wake up screaming and crying as my body, despite the pain, shoots straight up and my hands involuntarily reach out for the guys. I guess I'm still getting used to these new memories I'm sure this nightmare is a recollection of my last day with the guys from decades ago.

*Tia's new memory from her past life as Tilly*

Earlier in the day, we cooked, went for a walk, listened to music, and danced around the house... this exact house. We had a wonderful day, made love that night, and it was perfect. We were awakened in the middle of the night by angry yelling, banging on the front door, and the sound of glass breaking. Someone had thrown a homemade bomb through the living room window. The accelerant used allowed for the fire to spread quickly and the westside of the estate, just below our shared bedroom, was engulfed in flames instantly. Taehyung looked out of the window and saw several men running away from the house. He could also see the glow of the fire from downstairs.
