The week had gone as quick as it usually does. Before you know it, it was already sunday, and not just any regular sunday, it was the first day of December.

Quite frankly, you don't look forward to these types of months, mostly because it starts with you and your family coming together. And that causes a lot of arguments, emotions, and a lot of tears.

You and your family aren't the most connected. When you used to live with them you often felt like an outcast. The odd one of the family, the daughter your parents never showed any love or proudness to.

It hurt when that would happen, when you would get mistreated by your own parents even though you loved them so much. You got used to it over time though, the feeling just started getting numb. That no matter what words or insults they threw at you, you didn't care.

It's sad to think that way or feel that way, but it was true. You got numb to their behavior towards you, the way they treated you. And whenever December or the summer would come around, you knew you were fucked.

If you ever refuse to visit them, you are the bad character. The daughter that became the rebel and refuses to see them after everything they supposedly done for you. So you go, knowing your own issues.

Of course living abroad did change some things, like your emotions, your confidence and even stability. The way you feel much happier and much more capable of being who you are without being judged every single second. And being able to express your own opinion.

And then it comes the time when you have to visit them again. Because in the end, they are your family. Maybe just by blood, but they still raised you. And luckily for you, you didn't come out to be just like them.

With a sigh that left your lips, you hung up the phone, putting it quickly on the back pocket of your jeans. That sigh meant that you told your mother you would be going for Christmas this year, that you are happy to see her, even if she didn't believe you.

You were happy to see her, you only get to see her on Christmas and the summer, so seeing her again will maybe bring some happiness into your heart, but of course you doubt it. Still, you have some hope she might of have changed.

With a few shivers coming from your body, you wanted to slap yourself so bad. It just happened that you forgot to bring your sweater knowing the new weather. It's cold outside, the air has gotten much colder than it was in November.

Typically, this would be the time when people would start taking their jackets out and start wearing them. Others would just start buying Christmas decorations by this time of year, which you don't blame them, you would do the same if you had your own place. The snow is something that comes right after as well.

Having difficulty walking on campus because the snow that fell became ice. Tripping and falling down on it isn't sweet. That is one hell of a pain.

The only thing about this situation now is you being confused. Jimin usually comes and picks you up at exactly when you finish your shift. He doesn't spare any time before you hear him hocking, telling you that he's here.
