After that you both left from the river, he took you to some burger place he said was the best in the whole city, talking about how that was his go to and would always come there.
It caught you by surprise how comfortable he looked in the place, the way he would smile around as if everyone knew him, and they smiled back at him, they even waved at him. It was like he was famous around the place.
The atmosphere was warm, him greeting them all as if they were a long lost family. The place was small. It was a small old style restaurant, with a few tables and some old decorations around it. The place was cute, it was small yet so heartwarming.
After a few minutes of what felt like a meet and greet, you both sat down on a small booth, grabbing the menu that a waiter kindly came and gave to the both of you, as you looked towards him, watching the way his smile grew looking at the menu.
Something about this moment didn't feel real, whether it was that you have never experienced something like this with him or the fact that his smile was making you smile. Something wasn't adding up, and you are feeling annoyed at that.
It's not like you are bothered by it, you just aren't used to this new change, or this new way of acting. To just him in general. But it was nice, knowing that you could feel comfortable around him felt nice. A little too nice, yes. But you will ignore that.
"Pick anything you want" he looked over to you, meeting you eyes as you just nodded, averting your eyes to the menu.
If he insisted, then might as well. As you were reading the menu, a waiter came over asking what you both would want. Jungkook quickly noticed that you were still reading so he went ahead and ordered for himself. And then you did the same, ordering the same thing he did since you didn't know much about this place.
And what he ordered sounded good anyway.
"I can't believe you Jeon" you spoke up, earning him to look at you with a curious look. Putting his hands on the table as he narrowed his eyes at you.
"And that is?" he asked, tilting his head to the side, watching as you just shook your head. "I can't believe you would take me on a date and here you were saying you hated me" you commented, watching as he scoffed, sitting up straight.
You didn't mean that, it was just you trying to get some conversation out. However, to others it may look like a date, or to casual friends hanging out. The thing is, it's neither of those, which you can't explain.
You aren't sure what you and Jungkook are. If enemies who hate each other or just two casual people talking. Not friends, but still strangers. Your mind is all over the place you don't even know anymore, but what you do know is that the line between friends and enemies is thin.
"I do hate you" he cut you off from your thoughts, rolling his eyes at you. "So don't get too cocky now" he added, making you laugh.
The way you can annoy him so easily by telling him that he has feelings for you is so funny. It makes you so satisfied. It even boosts your ego. There's some benefits while hanging with him.
