You watched as his eyes lingered from his mother to then to Sora, the expression on his face being obvious to you. Maybe not just to you.
What happened wasn't expected. You didn't think this could ever happen, it just never went through your head. And now you are regretting not thinking about it.
Sora was a lot to Jungkook. He was able to move on, he showed you and told you himself that he did. However will seeing her again make him as confident as he once was? Will he still tell you about his plans? Or how he feels free?
It doesn't seem like it.
And everything in you wants to doubt your own thoughts. That you shouldn't assume so quickly, mostly when he has improved as a person. He has changed. But will that change be enough?
It has you worried, and you aren't sure why. There's no explanation to why you feel your heart sinking deeper and deeper by the seconds.
You wanted to just grab his hand and drag him away, lead him somewhere far where he won't see her. But you can't. You shouldn't. He should take that decision, not you.
"Mom" Jungkook whispered, his voice weak and low. Just the way it came out of his mouth was breaking your heart.
"Jungkook" his mother finally reached over to him, pulling him into a hug as he was barely even able to accept it. His mind was all over the place, things that were buried down were coming back, and he didn't know what to do.
It was a shocking, but he still can't process it.
"I'm so happy for you" she said, pulling away from him as she removed some of his hair strands from his face. Watching her son with so much love in her eyes.
She didn't intend anything bad. You can tell she just wants what's best for her son and if bringing someone from his past is it, then you will accept it.
Even if you don't like it.
You keep forgetting as well that she doesn't know what truly happened between Sora and Jungkook. He never made it truly clear to her. He decided to defend Sora over himself. And she believe it.
So you don't blame her at all.
"I met up with Sora when we arrived here, i'm guessing she was here to see you as well" she added, as the new information made more sense to you.
Which also meant that Sora was coming to see Jungkook either way. It didn't matter if it was beside Jungkook's parents, she was still going to show up. That just ruined your whole entire mood.
"Ah" was all that Jungkook managed to say, his eyes slowly lingering on Sora who was standing besides his mother, waving at him.
"Ah Y/n dear!" Mrs. Jeon was quick to say, all eyes turn towards you. You watched as she walked closer towards you, something that just made you gulp.
