As you walked down the hallway, you couldn't help but notice Jungkook who was talking to Namjoon on the side. He looked truly focused on whatever Namjoon was saying. It made you even want to know what they were talking about.
Just like you suspected it, you knew he would ignore you. Ever since Friday he hasn't said much to you, and that was about three days ago. He has been ignoring you ever since, avoiding you and even skipping classes just so he wouldn't see you.
Or at least that's what you thought.
You notice from time to time the way he would not even pay a single glance at you, or would walk out of the class once he accidentally made eye contact with you.
He has been truly petty about the situation, but quite frankly so have you. You also avoided him, you didn't look at him at all, or wouldn't even try to speak to him.
There was silence between both sides.
If he wanted to act that way, so would you. He didn't let you explain, and maybe he was right on not letting you explain. On being mad at you, but still.
You wanted for him to at least let you explain.
You're sure there's not much to explain. Other than the fact that you messed up. You recognize it, you know that. And you want him to know that.
But you aren't sure if he should know that.
As you quietly walked towards the door, you felt a gentle pat on your shoulder, making you turn to your side. Just to find Taehyung smiling at you.
"Long time no see" he said, blocking your view ahead as you nodded.
"As if we didn't see each other like a day ago, you literally took me to work" you said, watching as his smile turned into laughter.
It was true, he was the one taking you to work now. Jungkook did fulfill his promise by asking Taehyung to take you to work. He made up a whole lie to Taehyung about how he saw you going in a taxi on Friday and that as your friend he should take you. Of course Taehyung asked you about it the next day.
And well because you knew you couldn't tell him the real truth, you agreed. You played along with Jungkook's lie that became also your lie.
He immediately offered to take you, he even scolded you about not asking him before. And that he was more than welcomed to take you. And ever since, it has been Taehyung who takes you to work.
You don't mind it, he's funny and quite playful. So it's actually nice. And there's some more time where you both get to talk a little more. However, your mind is still drifted towards Jungkook.
"Well yeah but still" he said, crossing his arms as he titled his head.
"Is something wrong?" he asked right after, that question making you gulp.
