Johanna spent the rest of her week avoiding Gerard to the best of her ability. If Johanna was right about Gerard being the one to kill Matt, he now had a weapon more powerful than anything. Chris had been doing his best to continue Allison's training and prevent Gerard from manipulating her. Johanna stepped back from the family business as tensions just kept building. Johanna walked along the sidelines of the lacrosse field, arms crossed and bundled up in a red sweater. "It's going to be bad, isn't it?" Stiles and Scott looked over at the Argent girl. "I mean like people screaming, running for their lives, blood, killing, maiming kind of bad?" Stiles hypothesized, worried about how awful the night was going to go. "Looks like it." Scott sighed as Johanna took a seat close to the field.
"Johanna Argent, right?" Sheriff Stilinski addressed the huntress when he recognized her from the other night. Johanna looked over at the Sheriff and Melissa McCall, nodding to answer his question. Melissa took in the girl's simple attire but could help feeling suspicious of the teenager, especially after the visit from Gerard the previous night. "I wanted to thank you for the other night, but uh does your whole family own guns?" the Sheriff couldn't help but be curious about the family that recently moved back to his town. "Only the adults, my uncle's an arms dealer. I don't normally make a habit of pulling mine out in police stations." Johanna gave the simplest answer she could to the man who still seemed to be in the dark about the supernatural.
The Sheriff nodded uncomfortably before looking back out to the field as the game began. "Oh no, why is my son running on the field?" Johanna turned at the man's words to see Stiles fumbling with his helmet as he ran onto the field. "Because he's on the team." Melissa looked over at the man with slight confusion. "He is. He's on the team, he's on the field. My son is on the field!" the Sheriff slowly realized the reality, his voice getting louder until he jumped up in excitement. Johanna let out a small laugh as people stared as a result of his outburst. Johanna looked over at Scott, who was for some reason not on the field. The werewolf was stiff, an odd stance for someone simply watching a lacrosse game. Johanna looked around the field and noticed her grandfather standing a couple of yards away from the benches. Johanna narrowed her eyes at the old man, glancing back at Scott to see his jaw clenched.
Gerard kept a smirk on his face, disappearing when he knew he got his point across. Johanna glanced over at the Coach, the man thoroughly distracted, before making her way over to the bench. "What did my grandfather say to you?" Johanna slid next to Scott, startling the teenager. Scott glanced between the field and where Johanna was previously sitting. "He's planning to use Jackson to kill someone if I don't tell him where Derek is." Scott summed up the threat that Gerard gave him. "He has Jackson now, what does he want with Derek?" Johanna furrowed her eyebrows at the new information. "He's dying Johanna." Scott looked at the dirty blonde with a small glimpse of sympathy.
"Yeah, I know, but there's no supernatural cure for cancer." Johanna scoffed at Scott's insinuation. Scott looked over at the dirty blonde stoic, not sure about her statement. "No, there's no way, even if the bite is a cure he would rather die than become a werewolf." Johanna knew how deep Gerard's hate for the supernatural was rooted in his. "Are you sure about that?" Scott flinched as one of the Beacon Hills players got body slammed by another player. Johanna didn't answer Scott's rhetorical question. Gerard forced Victoria to take her own life because of the bite, would Gerard actually seek Derek out for a bite of his own?
Johanna was shaken out of her thoughts when Stiles was slammed to the ground next, the same player inflicting the harm. Another body slid next to Johanna's on the bench, turning Scott and Johanna's attention away from the game again. "You came to help." Scott looked at Isaac Lahey in disbelief. "I came to win." Isaac smirked, looking past the two teenagers to see Gerard back. The older man looked right back at the werewolves, surprised not only at Isaac's presence but at Johanna's. Johanna actually thought she saw her grandfather flinch when he took notice of her new allies. Gerard had declared war and for once, Johanna was on the other side of it.
