Johanna was taking a nap in the library when her phone started buzzing rapidly on the wooden table. Despite the loud buzzing, the girl remained dead asleep. Stiles Stilinski came running into the library, looking around rapidly for the dirty blonde. "Johanna!" Stiles yelled out as he spotted the sleeping girl, the librarian shushing him aggressively. "Johanna." Stiles whisper-shouted in the girl's ear, causing Johanna to shoot her head up. "We have an emergency; Scott's been calling you!" Stiles looked at the dirty blonde with crazy eyes. "Don't you guys always have an emergency?" Johanna looked at the boy annoyed and tired. "Come on!" Stiles grabbed the girl's hand, pulling her up and out of the library, knowing he was risking getting hit by doing so.
"So, the veterinarian got kidnapped? What does this have to do with me?" Johanna kept her arms crossed as Stiles pulled into the clinic parking lot in his Jeep. "You were a hunter, help us hunt this guy!" Stiles instructed as he turned off the car. Johanna took notice of the two cop cars in the parking lot as well, having not moved from the vehicle. Stiles stopped his pace toward the door and turned around, making his way to the passenger seat. "What a gentleman." Johanna gave Stiles an annoyed look before getting out of the Jeep and following him in. "All right, we're going to do everything we can." Sheriff Stilinski was talking to Scott when the pair walked in. Stiles positioned himself against the wall as Scott sat in the waiting room.
"Right now, the best thing you can do is go back to school." The Sheriff instructed the teenagers, placing his hand on Scott's shoulder. The two teenage boys shared a look before Scott nodded over to the kennel. Johanna and Stiles followed Scott into the kennel, Scott glancing at the Sheriff before he closed the door. "We have to tell him." Scott states, causing Stiles' mouth to drop slightly. "You mean like tell him tell him or tell him something else that isn't telling him what I think you want to tell him." Stiles narrowed his eyes. "You know what I mean." Scott didn't back down. "You remember how your mom reacted? She didn't look you in the eye for like a week." Stiles pointed out the length of time that Scott's mother avoided him after the police station incident. "And she got over it." Scott pointed out, whispering quieter than Stiles. "And-and it actually made us closer." Scott then added on in reassurance. "I don't know, dude. I mean, look at him. Come on, he's completely overwhelmed as it is." Stiles glanced out the door window at his dad. "He's overwhelmed because he has no clue what's happening, like the majority of this town." Johanna pointed out.
"He's got people dying in this town, the town that he's supposed to protect. And it's not his fault that he doesn't know what's happening." Scott added on to Johanna's statement. Stiles looked at his father and sighed before looking over at Johanna. "Any chance your family is coming out of retirement soon? Never thought I'd say I missed them." Stiles groaned at his own words, causing a small smirk to appear on Johanna's face. "He's going to find out sooner or later." Scott redirected the conversation. "Yeah, but is now really the right time?" Stiles questioned as he leaned against one of the kennels. "What if not telling him now gets someone else killed?" Scott propositioned. "What if telling him gets him killed, huh?" Stiles rebuttaled in frustration. "Okay, I get that Deaton's been like a father to you, I get that, okay? But this my-Scott, this is my actual father. I can't-I can't lose both of my parents, alright? Not both of them." Stiles struggled to form his sentences.
"You're right." Scott sympathized with his best friend. "No, I'm not. I'm not right. I'll tell him." Stiles let out a frustrated sigh, knowing Scott only had good intentions. "I'll help you." Scott promised, moving to go back out to the Sheriff. Johanna watched as Stiles stared off at his best friend, not moving to leave the room. "If you don't want to tell your dad, don't." Johanna spoke up, gaining Stiles' attention. "I had a shitty parent, okay? I don't even know who my dad is. But over the last year, Chris has become more of a father to me than anyone. I wouldn't want to risk his safety either." Johanna confessed to the human, knowing Scott wasn't listening. "If you want an Argent's help, I'll help." Johanna sighed, agreeing to give the group more assistance. "Really? You would do that for me?" Stiles looked at Johanna in shock. "Only if you stop touching me, it's weird." Johanna shivered and Stiles laughed before nodding.
