Tonight was a full moon, the first one since the Argents had returned to Beacon Hills. Johanna couldn't help the shiver that ran through her body as she pulled her leather jacket closer to her. Johanna could feel the holster that held her dagger pressing against her ankle as she walked toward the town's oldest bar. Loud music and a wave of smoke hit the huntress as she opened the door and walked in. "Jo!" a voice squealed from a few feet away. Johanna looked over at the sound of her name, the dirty blonde's eyes meeting with Mariana Calavera's. Johanna smiled at the sight of her old friend, Mariana launching herself toward Johanna. Johanna felt like she was being crushed as Mariana hugged her as tight as possible. "I missed you so much!" Marianna pulled away and hopped up on one of the bar stools, Johanna joining her. "You have to tell me about France! When Abuela told me, I was so jealous!" Marianna gushed over Johanna.

"Well hello to you too." Johanna let out a small laugh as she absorbed Marianna's bubbly attitude. "Sorry, it's just been so long." Marianna looked down and took a breathe when she realized how her excitement was drowning Johanna. "I missed you too!" Johanna laughed as two shots were set down in front of them by the bartender, Marianna having ordered them only moments before Johanna's arrival. Johanna looked around the darkened bar, taking in the crowded place that seemed only to have small beams of light keeping it lit. "France was good, much better than here." Johanna took the shot with thankful eyes, Marianna giggled as she too downed the small glass. Johanna had learned over that sometimes it was better to be drunk with Marianna than sober. "Just good? Come on, at least give me something juicy. Abuela only lets me leave Mexico once a year and I didn't use it just for you to tell me France was 'good'." Marianna complained. "Okay, fine." Johanna sighed as she tried to rack her brain for something appropriate to share.

"I think I got Allison drunk for the first time. " Johanna grinned at the memory of Johanna giving the girl so many shots that she threw up in a flower pot. "Your cousin?" Marianna grinned at the mention of another female Argent. "Yeah, she's not too bad." Johanna smiled lightly. "Woah, was that a compliment?" Marianna looked at Johanna with feigned shock. "Don't tell anyone." Johanna rolled her eyes as she waved down the bartender. "Jack and Coke please, double." Johanna requested when the man met her eyes. The bartender nodded before looking over at Marianna for her request. "Okay, what about boys?" Marianna asked after ordering herself something to drink.

"I mean, yeah, there were plenty of them in France. Nothing that stuck though." Johanna shrugged off the idea of anything romantic. "And here?" Marianna pushed. "Marianna, I've been in Beacon Hills for less than a year." Johanna reminded the girl. "What about that hunter? The one you lost your virginity too?" Marianna wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. "Bennett." Johanna frowned, the sound of his name almost foreign to her now. "Yes, Bennett! What about him?" Marianna looked at the dirty blonde expectantly. "He was murdered." Johanna took a big sip of her drink when it was placed in front of her. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" Marianna's eyes widened at the news, but Johanna just shrugged off the sympathy.

The next hour continued with back and forth chattered between Johanna and Marianna. The Calavera hunter doing most of the talking and Johanna doing most of the drinking, but that's how the Argent preferred it. "That guy keeps looking over here." Marianna grinned at Johanna as she nodded toward the other end of the bar. Johanna looked across the table to see Marianna was right. Blue eyes met Johanna's hazel and the man with dirty blonde hair and a sharp jaw line sent the Argent a dazzling smile. Johanna gave back a polite smile of her own before turning back to Marianna. "Not really my type." Johanna shrugged, not looking for anything serious. "You're such a liar!" Marianna accused Johanna with narrowed eyes. "I'm going to buy him a drink." Marianna motioned for the bartender. "What? Why?" Johanna looked at the raven-haired girl wide-eyed. "Because your independence is depressing me." Marianna deadpanned as she got the bartenders attention. Johanna rubbed her forehead as Marianna ordered the drink, along with two more shots for them.

"This is the last one, it's a full moon." Johanna warned as she realized how late it was getting. "But you're retired." Marianna pointed out with a grin. "Not in Beacon Hills." Johanna scoffed at the girl's words. Chris could call the Argents retired all he wanted but even Johanna knew that, at least while they were still in Beacon Hills, something would pull them out of 'retirement'. The two shots were placed in front of the girls and Johanna looked over to see the dirty blonde man got his drink as well. Marianna held her glass up for Johanna to clink, the dirty blonde rolled her eyes but did it anyway. "Oh my gosh! He looks like he's about to come over here!" Marianna was basically jumping in her seat when she noticed the man from the other end of the bar getting up. Marianna's joy was short lived when two ringtones bounced off the bar walls and one was answered by the dirty blonde man.

"Boo." Marianna sighed out, looking away from the man to see Johanna looking at her own phone. "No!" Marianna begged when Johanna looked up at her and then down at the screen. "What's up, Stiles?" Johanna covered her one ear with her hand as she tried to answer the phone while remaining at the bar. "We need your help, well Scott needs your help." Stiles' voice was rushed and anxiety filled, nothing new in Johanna's mind. "With what?" Johanna looked at Marianna pouting. "Two rogue, blood-thirsty werewolves rampaging around Beacon Hills." Stiles winced as he said the situation out loud.

"I'm sorry, what?!" Johanna hissed as she gave Marianna a 'sorry' look. "Just uh-can you meet us at the Beacon Reserve? Scott will explain everything!" Stiles begged, hoping the stone-cold Argent would help. "I'm retired." Johanna hung up the phone, not wanting to deal with human. Marianna looked at Johanna amused when she heard the last words of the Argent. "I thought there was no such thing as a retired hunter in Beacon Hills?" Marianna had a playful yet daring look in her eyes. Johanna narrowed her eyes at Marianna but she could see the Calavera itching for a fight. "You want to go hunting?" Johanna finally gave in and asked the girl. "Hell, yeah!" Marianna grinned, jumping out of her seat. "Bartender, close my tab!" Marianna was beaming as Johanna shook her head.
