Johanna was laying upside down on the edge of her bed, the blood rushing to her head as she stared at the corner of her new room. "Johanna?" Chris lightly knocked on the open door. "Yeah?" Johanna didn't make a move to get up. Chris gave the dirty blonde an odd look, but just shook his head at his niece. "Allison's leaving for school, maybe you should go with her." Chris suggested, but Johanna could see it wasn't a choice as much as a plea. Johanna wrinkled her nose at the idea of going back to the high school after the summer off. "You only have a few months left." Chris offered a bright side. Johanna flipped her body so that she was now laying on her stomach. "Here me out, G.E.D." Johanna looked at the man hopeful. "And what are you going to do after that? Work?" Chris looked at the dirty blonde expectantly. "College?" Johanna offered, but both Argents laughed at the insinuation. Johanna let out a sigh as she grabbed her school bag and passed Chris on her way out. "Ali, I'm driving." Johanna called out as she pulled her keys from the key holder. "We have to pick up Lydia." Allison stopped her cousin before she volunteered to drive. Johanna shrugged, opening the apartment door and heading to the elevator, Allison trailing behind.
"Freshman, tons and tons of fresh men." Lydia eyed the new male students as she stood at her locker. "You mean fresh boys, Lydia they're 14." Allison laughed uncomfortably, slightly amused with the strawberry blonde. "Eh, some are more mature than others." Lydia shrugged and Johanna grinned at the careless teenager. "You know it's okay to be single. Focus on yourself for a little while, work on becoming a better person." Allison gave the girl a sobered look. "Allison, I love you. So if you need to do that thing where we talk about me and pretend like we're not actually talking about you, it's totally fine." Lydia spoke with fake sympathy. "But I don't want a boyfriend, I want a distraction." Lydia mused as she slammed a hand against the lockers and scanned the crowd like a hyena. "Team Distraction." Johanna grinned at Allison when she looked at her cousin for help.
"What was France?" Allison looked at Johanna expectantly, but Johanna only grinned at the idea of her long nights with foreign men. Two men specifically made a dramatic entrance and Lydia was hooked. "Brothers?" Allison followed Lydia's gaze, checking out the guys clad in leather jackets. "Twins." Johanna and Lydia grinned as they took in their identical looks. Allison shook her head at the two as the warning bell rang, signaling for the girls to get to class. "I'm rethinking college." Johanna looked around the school depressed. The three girls enter the room and Johanna immediately made her way over to the closest empty seat. Lydia and Allison looked perplexed when Johanna left the two least attractive available seats. Allison sighed and took the open spot in front of Scott instead of next to him.
Johanna watched Scott twitch nervously as Allison asked permission before sitting. Johanna grinned at the situation, genuinely amused. "Are you smiling?" Stiles mocked the huntress with wide eyes. Johanna narrowed her eyes, dropping the grin as she looked at the human, Stiles was saved by the sound of multiple phones going off. "The offing was barred by a black bank of clouds and the tranquil waterway, leading to the uttermost ends of the earth flowed somber under an overcast sky, seemed to lead into the heart of an immense darkness." heals clicked as a young woman walked into the room, her voice reading the text out loud. "This is the last line to the first book we are going to read. It is also the last text you will receive in this class, phone's off everyone." The woman instructed as she put her own phone in her pocket. Johanna looked at the woman leaning against the desk suspiciously, not liking the smile plastered on her face or the dramatic entrance.
Class dragged on for Johanna as Ms. Blake continued to introduce herself and gave them each individual seatwork. Johanna looked up from her work when another teacher walked in and discreetly talked to the woman. "Mr. McCall." Ms. Black gestured for Scott to join her in the hallway. "Hey, Lydia." Stiles' voice disturbed Johanna, preventing her from focusing. "What is that? Is that from the accident?" Stiles took notice of the wrap on Lydia's ankle. "No, Prada bit me." Lydia pursed her lips. "Your dog?" Stiles deadpanned. "No, my designer handbag." Lydia feigned innocence and Stiles gave her an annoyed look. "Yes, my dog." Lydia spoke slowly, annoyed that Stiles was distracting her. "Has it ever bitten you before?" Stiles continued to question the girl. Lydia shook her head with a small sound that indicated no.
