"Hey, I just saw the lights flicker." Johanna confronted her uncle as he walked toward his daughter's room. Chris looked at Johanna and thought for a second before he went to knock on Allison's open door. Johanna saw the man stop at something in Allison's room and walked over to her uncle. "Johanna saw the lights flicker." Chris relayed what the girl said as he looked at his father skeptically. "Probably just one of our guests getting comfortable downstairs." Gerard brushed off the concern. "Get some sleep if you can." Gerard then turned back to Allison, playing the part of a caring grandfather. Johanna narrowed her eyes at the old man before walking away.
Making her way downstairs, the dirty blonde looked around the lower level before opening the basement door. Slipping inside and closing the door, Johanna flicked the lights on. The dim lighting showed very little but the creaky wooden stairs. Even with the dim lighting Johanna could see a body laying on the ground a few feet away from the bottom of the stairs. Walking down the stairs Johanna immediately recognized the body to be Stiles, Gerard really had no limits or self-control. Johanna's feet hit the last stair and she looked up at Boyd and Erica, who Chris and Allison had captured during their hunt. Erica pulled at restraints, desperately wanting Johanna to help her, but knew that Johanna wasn't one to help werewolves. Johanna moved over to Stiles, flipping him over so that he was laying face upward. Johanna winced a little when she lightly brushed the bruising on his face. Stiles groaned as the pressure struck him with pain. The teenage boy wasn't completely conscious, but he was waking up.
"Johanna?" Stiles grumbled out as he blinked rapidly to regain his vision. "I see you're still picking fights with people you shouldn't." Johanna gave him a pointed look. "He's got a good hit for an old man." Stiles winced as he pushed into an upright position. "I learned a long time ago not to pick a fight with my grandfather, he may be old but he sure as hell isn't weak." Johanna agreed as she helped him stand up. "Pretty sure he was okay with killing me." Stiles had a small limp in his step. "Pretty sure he's okay with killing anyone." Johanna scoffed. "You good to get up the stairs?" Johanna stood beside him as he moved around a bit. "I'll be fine." Stiles nodded. "Great, because here comes the hard part. Getting you out without anyone knowing." Johanna gave a sarcastic smile.
"You on our side now?" Stiles looked over at Johanna as they began ascending the stairs. "I'm not on anyone's side. Gerard went too far by taking you, you're only human." Johanna watched Stiles' steps as he went up the stairs. "You're human." Stiles scoffed, offended by her words. "I've been training to take on the supernatural since I was 12. You've been around the supernatural for less than a year." Johanna stopped at the top stair, slowly peaking the door open. "Stay here." Johanna instructed as she slipped out to look around the general area. "Alright, let's go." Johanna opened the door a bit wider for Stiles to get out.
The drive to Stiles' wasn't long, but Johanna kept driving around the outskirts of town before she came back. Johanna pulled into the driveway, and slammed on her brakes when she saw a figure standing inches away from the hood of the car. "What the hell?!" Johanna scolded her uncle for nearly getting himself hit. "I need your help." Chris walked over to her passenger side with a duffel bag over his shoulder. Johanna looked at him skeptically but unlocked the door. Chris threw his bag in the back and slipped into the car.
"Gerard has gone too far, he's my responsibility now." Chris broke the silence as he gave his niece directions. "Now he's gone too far? After killing a teenager and kidnapping another?" Johanna scoffed at the horrible things he had done before this. "Pull in here." Chris instructed, ignoring her comments. Johanna did as she was told, her headlights beaming at two silhouettes. Johanna turned the car off and got out with her uncle. "You're alone." Scott looked surprised when he didn't see Allison. "More than you know." Chris scoffed at just how split his family had become. "What do you want?" Scott got straight to the point. "We don't have much in common, Scott, but at the moment we have common enemy." Chris let out a sigh. "That's why I'm trying to get him out of here." Scott pointed at the body bag by his feet, presumably Jackson's. "He didn't mean Jackson." Johanna spoke up. "Gerard has twisted his way into Allison's head, the same way he did with Kate. I'm losing her, and you're losing her too." Chris elaborated on what she meant. "You're right." Scott looked at Chris, confirming that Gerard is the common enemy. "So can you trust me to fix this? Can you let us go?" Scott was hellbent on carrying the world on his shoulders. "No." Chris deadpanned, Scott letting out an annoyed sigh. "Because my car's faster." Johanna wiggled her keys in her hands.
