The next morning, we got up early so we had enough time for all of us to get ready. I took a shower after Riley and Hunter. I was in the middle of brushing my teeth with only a towel covering my lower body. Evan walked in the bathroom.
"Mornin'," he greeted.
"Morning." I responded, so nonchalantly. I was almost proud of myself.
I figured he needed to brush his teeth so I stepped over and made room for him, but boy was I wrong and. He pulled his shirt over his head and pushed his shorts off his waist. I saw him in the mirror as I was brushing my teeth. He was standing behind me with only boxers on. Don't stare, Olly. Look away. I looked down to the sink, brushing my teeth slower than I was before, my ears getting hot. I heard the shower door open. I thought I'd see a nude Evan behind me, but instead I saw his arm sticking out of the shower holding an article of clothing. It took me a minute to realize... he was holding his boxers. He dropped them in with the other pile of clothes. He couldn't see me and I couldn't see him so I silently flipped out, mouthing swears to myself and pulling my hair, jogging in place, and acting like a school girl who met their celebrity crush. I didn't want to be in here when he came out so I finished brushing and left the bathroom. I got dressed and met up with Hunter and Riley in the kitchen eating breakfast waiting for Evan. We were all lounging about because we were done. Since the kitchen was connected to the living room with no door in the way, we could see right into it from the seats in the kitchen. I saw Evan walk into the living room... with only a towel he had to hold up, but he wasn't doing a good job. You could clearly see his V-line. This is torture! I looked away, resisting the urge to look at him again. I kept my eyes on Riley who was talking, but I wasn't listening to a single word. The thought that Evan was in the next room with only a towel covering his body was distracting me... Maybe just a peek.. I turned my head and to my shameful disappointment, he was wearing jeans only and holding his phone. I was hoping for another towel peek, but the view is breath-taking all the same.
He came over still shirtless and put his arms around Riley and Hunter, "I was invited to a party. Wanna come?"
"Sure," Hunter said.
"Hell yeah. I'm tired of being in the house all day," Riley said.
He looked to me with his gorgeous brown eyes. He surely isn't inviting me is he? "What about you, Olly?"
"Me?" I so dumbly asked. He called me by my nickname.
"Yeah. Unless you don't want to come, but it would be nice if you came to."
He's inviting me and said it'd be more fun with me there, "S-sure. When?" I smiled and said almost too cheerfully.
"Tomorrow night."
I felt a little part of me die. My parents would never let me out on a school night, "I want to go, but my parents wouldn't let me out on a school night.. not to sound like a total rule follower."
"Pretend to be asleep. After they come check on you, sneak out your window, but go to bed dressed in whatever you plan on wearing," Hunter instructed.
"You sound like an expert.. Fine. I'll do it." I smirked.
Evan reached across the table and roughly ruffled my hair and walked away, "Cool, so we're all going." He went to the living room and slipped on a shirt when his dad came back downstairs. He touched my hair.. Oh wow. He came back and ate breakfast. Then Riley's dad came downstairs and drove us to school.
In the student lounge, everyone.. well every boy that was there yesterday was hurdled around Lily.. All but Jacob anyway. She still seemed upset. I approached her and she looked at me for a millisecond then looked down to her lap. The guys saw me too and started walking away, whispering insults in my ear such as "punk", "dick", and "idiot". I shook my head and ignored them. I sat next to Lily along with Riley, Hunter, and Evan.
