I skipped yet another breakfast and walked to school. At school, everyone was crowding around our table in the student lounge and by crowded, I mean really crowded. At first, there was only Lily, Riley, Hunter, and me. Now there's Lily, Hunter, Riley, Evan, Jacob, and me. At least the cute new couple, Lily and Jacob, weren't taking up any seats. Lily was always in her lover's lap. I don't care too much, although I do remember saying "no lovey-dovey stuff in front of people who think they're forever alone." But that was more for my sake before I knew Riley had a thing for me. Also, Lily looks.. happy and Jacob sort of praises me and acts like we've been friends since the beginning of time. She gets him off my back. In a sense, I killed two birds with one stone. I sat next to Hunter and he automatically pulled me in for a noogie.
Wincing in pain, I yelled at him, "Ow! Why?!"
"You've been acting distant. Are you forgetting us?" He sort of laughed, but I knew it was a question he wanted answered. I haven't even realized I was pulling away from them.
I roughly pushed him off, "No, you idiot. You guys have been my best friends since forever," I smirked.
"So who or what is it that made you stop talking to us like you used to?" He asked.
I kept a straight face and managed not to let his question get to me and start making me blush like some chick. I shrugged, "I dunno. I haven't even noticed I wasn't treating you guys the same as always."
"I bet it's stress," Lily said. "Your parents are pissed off at you for sneaking out and getting yourself drunk and you're on punishment. Call me obsessive, but if my parents took away my phone or laptop, I wouldn't know what to do. I'd just sit in my bed and contemplate about life and create new philosophies," she laughed towards the end. Although, I'm a teenager, I don't get emotionally attached to electronics. My parents can keep my phone or laptop however long they want. The thing that gets to me is that I can't hang out with my friends or go outside. She was probably right about one thing, though. I might be stressing out. One point made by her is that my parents are pissed off at me. But she doesn't know that Riley is a factor, too, and I'm paranoid as all hell so I have no idea how our date is going to work.
I shook my head, "I dunno. Maybe."
She looked over to Evan and smirked, "What do you think? Your favorite person in the world is upset." I don't know why, but I felt at loss when she referred to me as Evan's favorite person and I didn't feel a thing. C'mon Olly. Desire for him again. At least you'd know you wouldn't have a living chance in hell and he wouldn't know you're gay. Instead of sneaking around with Riley, who I feel terrible for using like this, you can admire Evan from a safe and quiet distance.
He sort of glared at her, but then recovered with a smile. "I don't know, but he'll figure it out." He got up, "I'm gonna go. Bye guys," he said leaving.
"Well.. Someone's pissy," Hunter said.
"Maybe he had a bad morning and wanted to get to class early," said Riley.
I checked my wrist watch, "Even if he did want to get to class early, it'd be kind of a problem."
"Why?" Riley asked.
"Well the classroom doors don't get unlocked for another twenty minutes. So he's just going to be standing.. or sitting in the hallway alone until a teacher comes.. Jacob, why aren't you saying anything?" Evan is practically the only other friend Jacob has.
"'Cause, I don't like any of you and I'm not gonna discuss his problems. If he wants to tell us, he'll tell us," he smirked. What a jackass. Sudden realization hit him, "Except for you, Oliver!" He exclaimed and smiled, then wrapped his arm's around Lily's waist who was still sitting on his lap.
