I woke up next morning with Riley enveloped in my arms to the sound of him lightly snoring and birds chirping. His bare back was towards me under the blanket he packed. No, we're not naked. We were both clothed from the waist down. Even though I wanted to stay here with Riley, we have to go. We have to leave. But he was so warm. I snuggled in closer to him so that my forehead rested on his back. I guess at this point I can verify my feelings for him with no more confusion and no more being pathetic. I know that I love him. I wouldn't go great lengths for a plaything, but I'd go beyond that for him. I'll do anything for him. I'd accept a beating so that he doesn't get hurt. I'd accept being disowned by my parents just to make him happy. And I know that I would rescue him from his shit father just so he'd be safe. Besides, there's an old saying.. "your lover should be your best friend." It wasn't meant literally, but that's what happened here.
I wanted to stay longer, but we can't waste time. "Riley, wake up." No response. "C'mon. We've gotta go." Still no reply. I picked my head up and kissed his shoulder, "Babe, wake up."
He groaned and sighed, "I dun wanna," he whined and reluctantly sat up. Even when he just wakes up, he's still cute.
I got up as well, going to retrieve my shirt, "I hope Evan got the pictures he wanted last night," I joked, but I was still a bit pissed that he leaked our secret to the public. We weren't hurting anybody. He could have left us alone in the first place.
"Oliver.." Riley called.
I looked back at him and he was frowning at me, I smiled deviously, "What? Are you still butthurt?"
He looked so confused, "Still?" He took a moment, but his entire face flushed pink, "Oliver! Don't be vulgar!"
I laughed and slyly said, "I told you I was the big spoon."
Still pink in the face, he yelled, "Shut the fuck up, Olly! I'm not talking to you!" While putting on his shirt. Which only made me laugh more. I walked up behind him. He was sitting on the ground still, so I crouched down behind him and wrapped one arm around him, my elbow on one of his shoulders and my hand resting on the other and wrapped my other arm around his torso.
"Sorry, babe," I cooed and kissed his cheek from behind.
"Stop it!" his voice cracked.
I smiled, trying to contain a laugh, "You get embarrassed easily."
"I'm not! You're just good at embarrassing me!"
"Fine. I'm sorry, Riley," I emphasized his name
He cracked a small smile, "Forgiven. We've gotta keep moving," he got up, making me let go.
I put my own shirt on and picked up my bag and he got his after we packed the blanket away. As he was walking past me, he grabbed my hand, making me walk with him.
We left through the same gates we came in. Before, I could get through, I heard a voice yell from across the street, "YOU GUYS ARE FUCKING GROSS!" The voice was high and cracked a couple times. I looked up to see Evan frowning and sitting on his bicycle and a camera shattered on the ground in bits and pieces. I could tell it was a camera because the only thing in tact was the lens.
"I didn't really think he was there," I whispered to Riley. When he didn't say anything, I looked over at him. His head was down and his face was extremely flustered. His frown was worse than Evan's. I slightly laugh at him and returned my attention to Evan. I kept my gaze on him and a devilish smile on my face, I took Riley by the hand, leading him away. I wink at Evan and turn my head back forward.
