Eddie came to my door that afternoon I heard Nancy challenging him "and why are you here?" She questioned "look I'm just here as a friend I'm not gonna do anything I just needs to get away from my uncle okay wheeler?" She must if accepted this as I heard his run up the stairs to my room "y'alright wheeler" I was sitting at my desk packing homework away "hello hello" I said comfortably; I got up to hug him and he buried his head in my hair he only did that when something was wrong I pulled my hands down on his shoulder "so. What's wrong" he pulled my arms round his waist and lifted his head up "well my uncle came home drunk and shouting and then some other stuff happened and I didn't wanna be there. What's going on with you I saw billy eyeing you in class today" His name made me want to let all the tears I concealed inside of me pulling him closer to me it's weird how I can do that now and it be as friends "well he's starting to not hate me again after the whole three time thing and we went for a drive yesterday he still hates me but I think I'm making progress" I said I felt guilty saying all that but Eddie asked and I felt comfortable around him now "well if he's smart he'll forgive you" Eddie said. I smiled pushing him away playfully "so you rlly like him huh?" "Well I liked him when he asked me out and I still like him like now I think" I said "do u still like you anyone else" he asked. I couldn't answer that his eyes stare deep into mine his face was plain not concerned but he favourites one answer I could tell. But I guess I had to say what I felt I can't lie to him anymore
"Yeah maybe I do" I said looking down breaking free from his glare. He copied hiding the deep grin creepy across his face. "And don't think I didn't notice you changing the subject I care about you"
He smiled nestling in my hair again "I'm okay wheeler" he said sitting on my bed
"what's going on with you" I said smiling "well I won my campaign found out the love of my life was three timing me decided to stay friends with her oh and my band won the battle of the bands down in that town that's like 3 from Hawkins" love of his life the way he said that I couldn't tell if he was happy and mad and it worried me I can't fall further in love with him I need to focus on billy. "Well that sounds....lovely" I said ignoring what he said. Night soon fell after hours of laughing with each other and gossiping like little girls, we ordered pizza and sat together ranting and laughing more about school. Before I was aware my clock had fast forwarded to 12:00 I snuggled under the blankets on my bed pulling a cushion towards me still facing Eddie who sat on the floor leaning against my bed "sooo am I allowed to sleep in your bed  or am I on the floor"
I got up as I said "no I'll go on the floor"
"No it's your house so by the rules of staying over I have to go on the floor becuase I am the guest
"That makes no sense, move" I said pushing a side so I could sit next to him  on the floor
"Ok I might be overstepping the friend boundaries but what if we just both sleep in your bed but separately of course"
"as long as you don't get too comfortable" I said unsure of what was going to happen knowing I just agreed to that he went to my bathroom put on a change of shorts and laid on top of the blankets next to me pulling a different one half over him " night wheeler " he said turning away from me "night Munson"

"Y/n, y/n.... WHEELER wake the fuck up"
I opened my eyes after a couple pokes and shakes i rolled over to glare at my clock. "Eddie it's two in the morning get you cute ass back to sleep" I said pissed off. "No no no I really need your help y/n" he said shaking me again.
"Eddie for the last time go to sle- oh my god you pric"
"Exactly now help me out here. Hold on did you call my ass cute"
He stood there like a child scissors in one hand and a hand full of hair in the other this is why I shouldn't of left scissors on my desk with a high Eddie.
"Right come on then midnight hair salon is officially open" i said dragging him to the bathroom where there was better light. I got to work fixing his hair and making it even again after twenty minutes of styling and laughing about what he'd done "why did u do this anyway you idiot" I said through giggles "well I thought it was a good idea but not so sure now" he said tiredly.
"Do u think I've got a cute ass?" He chuckled
"To be fair I had just woken up and I didn't know what was going on so I used flattery to shut you up " he probably could tell that was a lie but he didn't say anything
"Well I'm flattered" he smiled annoyingly
"and you still haven't shut up"
I lightly pushed him back again until he grabbed my shirt and pulled me into his chest opening his mouth replicating look of shock plastered on my face I couldn't say anything this was getting to close to the line of cheating I can't fall back into his game he knew that I still loved him and he was trying to change my mind before the unlikely event of those feelings being lost happened. I just shuffled discretely back combing his hair looking at it closely giving me a get out of awkward situation pass.

"There you are all pretty again planting a kiss on his nose." He leaned towards me for a further kiss gently moving his hand to the side of my face edging his face closer, inching itself towards mine  "someone's still high" I said pushing his face away he began laughing the tone on his voice obviously disappointed he wrapped him arms around my waist anyway and I rested my head on his shoulder before quickly moving away saying "I'm going to bed the midnight salon is closed" I yawned jumping into bed he ran after me jumping next to me "piss off Munson" I laughed pushing him away from me" "good night wheeler" "night" I said already half asleep.
