Let me leave something clear. I'm doing this for Anna and Andrey. Not because I want to spend more time with Aaron. That jerk only knows how to irritate me.
"So, what's your plan?" I ask.
"Plan?"
"Yes, plan. I assume you called me because you have a plan you need help putting to work."
"Umm, no."
"Ok...then we have to make a plan to get them together."
"Can't we just do it like in the movies?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean haven't you seen those movies where they lock them up for a day and they have no other choice than to be honest and accept their feelings."
"No."
"Why not? I think it's a great plan."
I have no idea how he convinced me but here we are about to put our, correction, his plan to work. I actually do know how he convinced me I mean not every day someone tells you they can get you an autograph from James Patterson.
The plan is the following. During lunch, which happens to be right now, I'm supposed to send Andrey a text message saying I need his help urgently and that I'll be waiting for him in the band room, more specifically the room where they have a piano they let him use. Meanwhile, Aaron will send Anna a text message telling her that he needed to show her something immediately. Every part of the plan is perfectly calculated.
Five minutes later we could see Andrey confused while he entered the room and found it empty without me inside it, so I went ahead and sent him a message saying I would be a little late. And yes, we added two cameras and a microphone, there was no way I would be left out without my gossip. I have contacts in the school that owed me a couple favors. A minute after Andrey entered the room, Annabeth did too. At that moment, Jude, one of the band members who we had to pay ten dollars, locked the door behind both. Phase one was complete, now they just had to hope everything came out as planned.
"Do you think this will work?" Asked Aaron as we both looked at their confused faces through the screen.
"I don't know. You're the one who came up with the plan." I point out.
"What are you doing here?" We hear Andrey ask Anna.
"Aaron told me to meet him here."
"Lena told me to meet her here too."
"Oh, ok."
"Hold on." I could see the wheels on Andrey's head turning.
"UGHHH!" Andrey let out a sigh of frustration while he pulled his hair.
"What's wrong?" We hear Anna ask him.
"Those two don't plan on coming. I'm 99.9% sure this is all a plan two have us together in the same room." My dude wasn't wrong. This makes it so much easier. Now we don't have to come up with a lie as to why we didn't show up.
"Why would they want you and me in the same room? I just don't get it."
"Because they watch too many romance movies, that's why."
Aaron now looks offended.
"In my defense, I like to watch any kind of movie, not only romance." He whispers towards me.
"Yeah, sure."
"In that case this must be Aaron's idea, he has this weird obsession with romance movies," I hear Annabeth say. I stifle back a laugh while Aaron looks like he's about to strangle Anna. "However, that still doesn't explain why we're here. Couldn't he have done it with anyone else?"
"Maybe I know why. I'm never trusting that friend of yours again. One time I told him something no one other than Selena knew and he goes and does this." I could hear the anger and irritation in Andrey's voice. "What disappoints me is that Selena also contributed to this." Auch! That hurt. I'm doing this for you Andrey and even though right now your anger doesn't let you see, you'll thank me later.
"And what is that? What did you tell Aaron you didn't tell me."
"Nothing important." He grumbles.
"Come on, tell me. My mouth is zipped."
"No."
"Please."
"I said, no."
"Pleeeeeease."
"N-O, no."
"Pretty pleeeeeease."
"Нет." Oh. He's big mad. Only then does he start speaking russian.
"Andrey, pleeeease."
"Я признался, как сильно я любил тебя!"
"What?"
"I CONFESSED HOW MUCH I LOVED YOU!!!!" Finally, that's what I wanted to hear come out of your mouth.
"You...youu...youuu...wha...what...did you just say?"
Suddenly all the anger drains out of Andrey's system and the weight of his words falls on him and he gives Anna a sad smile.
"Yes Anna, what you just heard. I told your best friend that I was madly in love with you. However, I don't want this to change anything between us. I know that this right here," he says pointing to Anna's heart, "still belongs to another man, but I'll wait for you as long as I live."
What happened next I didn't see coming. Annabeth gets on her toes and brings Andrey on for a kiss and the words he has been waiting and we have been waiting for, leave her mouth.
"I love you too, you idiot."
