Chapter 11

"Babe do we have ice cream?" I asked Nathan while he was rubbing my stomach on the bed.
"Ummm I don't think so" I said not getting up from the bed.
"The baby just kicked" he said getting excited about feeling the baby.
"Yeah and the baby is also hungry for some ice cream" I said I've been craving ice cream for the last two weeks.
"What kind do you want?"
"Rocky road please" I told Nathan as he put his shoes on grabbed his keys and headed out of the room. I am huge now I am actually do any day now that's crazy. My baby will be in my arms any day now I couldn't be anymore happy and nervous. I'm just not sure if I am up to all this but I mean I can't really doubt it anymore the baby is going to be here soon and I need to be prepared.

-25 minutes later
Gosh Nathan how long does it take for you to go down the street and bring me back some god damn ice cream. I laid back on the couch putting my hands back on my stomach rubbing it.
"Hey their little guy. You are being a kicker today aren't you" I said causing him to kick me even more.
"Are you excited to meet mommy and daddy."
"You know we love you right. You are such a lovely baby. I can't wait to meet you." I told him and with that Nathan finally came back into the apartment.
"Hey babe I'm back I brought you back a couple of ice cream flavours" he placed the bag on the kitchen island I got up from the couch and made my way towards him.
Why do I feel so wet. That's weird it was probably the baby kicking my bladder.
"Babe..." Nathan said looking down at my legs.
"I think..." I said. His eyes widen he already knew what that meant he quickly ran to our bedroom and grabbed the bag we are going to take to the hospital.
"Are you ready?" He said
"Wait.... Put the ice cream away make sure everything is okay before we leave" I said hmm why doesn't it hurt yet. We walked to the car Nathan was more nervous then I was about the whole giving birth thing. I mean I was fine........ Never mind I just got my first contraction it hurt like a mother.
"Babe are you okay?" Nathan asked conceded as he looked over at me.
"Drive just DRIVE" I yelled the last part oh god this hurts.
"We are never having kids again Nathan. You did this to me." I said trying to breath normally through the pain.
"God oh God it hurts" I added holding my stomach.
"Can you go any faster I am not having the baby in the car" I told him.
"We are almost their okay just 3 minute" he said holding my hand. Three minutes I mean I can do it.
"Ughhhhhh......" I screamed.
The car suddenly stopped Nathan ran out of the car and into the hospital nurses came running out one with a wheel chair opening my door. Thy helped my out of the car and into the wheel chair taking me inside.
"Where Nathan?" I asked through my pain.
"He is parking the car madam" one of the nurses said.
"I am not having this baby without him" I said
"Mam please you are 9 cm in one more and you are going to have to push" the same nurse said.
"Go find him" I told her. They placed my on a bed and took of my pants spreading my legs and placing them on some kind of leg holders. A lady placed her fingers into my vagina and yelled out 10.
"Okay I am going to need you to push when you get your next contracts." She said
"Wait where's...." With that the door flow opened and Nathan ran next to me holding my hand. And with that I got my contraction I pushed.
"Okay good. One- two - three push" the nurse said she repeated it again. And finally after a couple of pushes I heard a baby cry.
"You did it babe. His hear" Nathan said kissing my forehead. I did it. His here he is finally here. I started to feel sleepy and started closing my eyes.
"Christy don't fall asleep. Wake her up" Nathan said but his voice just sounded so fair.
