Chapter 22

Christy's P.O.V
"Flight to New York place make your way to the gates" I hear over the speaker.

TIME TO HEAD BACK TO NEW YORK!!!!

"Looks like I need to start boarding" I say to my mom

" Joshua and I will be waiting for you" my mom replied.
I kissed josh on the cheek and say my goodbye.

Now why am I going back to New York you may ask, well I got the best job opportunity to work as a journalist for New York's times magazine and I couldn't be happier it's been a dream of mine.
Because of it being such a short notice I reached out to Liz and will be staying it's her for a few weeks the worse part is I leaving my little buddy with my mom but Im doing this for his future.

"New York here I come" I said under my breathe as I took a seat on my assigned seat and next to me was the most beautiful man I've ever seen. He had nice blonde messy hair was dressed casual and was just pretty to seat with.

" are you here alone?" He asked me. He must have caught me staring.
"Yes just heading back home. What about you?" I asked
" same here coming back from a business trip?" He said and the rest of the flight was just silent and we made occasional eye contact.

I was happy when we landed the sexual tension was killing me and I needed to get out of there. As we board off  the plane I could feel him right behind me. Oh how I wish I had dressed better!!

From the corner of my eye I could see Liz, finally I thought.

"Welcome home bitch!!" She yelled
" I missed you" I told her bringing her into a big hug
" let's get you home" she said grabbing my bag
The drive to her home wasn't bad we talked about my baby and her love life which blows my mind away.
" you should probably get some rest" she said as we made our way inside
" you have a big day tomorrow" she added. Which was true I start work tomorrow and couldn't be more excited. I smiled at her and headed to her spear  room. I called my mom to get an update on Joshua I miss my little man.

After our call I laid in bed and let myself fall asleep.

*beep beep beep*
I hear my alarm go off at 5:45am!!
Great time to get up I thought, holy crap it's my first day and I have to be there at 8am.
I got up took a shower got my outfit ready did my makeup and still had time to get coffee and be at work before 8am.
I made my way into the tall beautiful building.
"Hi I'm christy the new journalist can you tell me where I should head" I told the young girl at the front.  She smiled back " take the elevator to the 3rd floor Mr. flake is waiting for you" I thanked her and made my way to the elevator and up to the 3rd floor.

*ding*
Here I am on the third floor when I see a beautiful man, the same beautiful man that was on the plane. Holy shit this is my new boss I though.
"Christy welcome" he said and I could feel myself blush. Great I though.
"Hi thank you" I said stuttering my words
"Let me show you to your office" he said walking ahead of me through the hallway.
" here's your desk it's right across my partners office which he should be here any minute now" he said looking around. From the corner of my eyes I see him NATHAN. OH FUCK!!
