"The sweetest smiles hold the darkest secrets..."

Lilianne's POV

I was awakened by the sun's rays piercing through my curtains. My thoughts were still on that night.

,,Better not. You don't wanna see me again. Believe me''.

What does it mean? I decided to call Valentina. After a few rings, my friend's voice reached me.

"Lilianne!"

"Valentine! Do you have time?"

"Bitch, of course, always for you"

I told her about how I spent the week, about Lucy, about my parents, of course, I did not omit yesterday's situation.

"You're gonna get yourself killed!" She exclaimed

"I think you are exaggerating a little! I have everything under control"

"Typical, Lilianne. What will you do with this mysterious man?" she asked

"It's not that I have his number or even his name. I don't know anything about him, so I guess I will forget. There are plenty of boys here."

"Jose asked about you"

"He could call me"  I said

"He thought that you had a chance"

"Maybe if he doesn't act like a total coward and run away after he saw my mom"

We talked for another hour and after that, I decided to get dressed and go downstairs. There was a note waiting for me on the kitchen island: We'll be gone until the night. Look after yourself. Mom''

So I have all day for myself. I was surprised that both my parents were involved in working here. In Barcelona, my mom spent most of the time at home while my dad was working. Andrew was probably with her nanny.

I called Lucy to see if she has time to go for a walk or do anything else, but she told me that she is busy today, but we can meet later at her boyfriend's party. I agreed since I have nothing better to do.

Before I went for a walk, I made breakfast and sat in front of the TV.

The search for Jason Mccann continues. The FBI offered a reward of $100 million for revealing his whereabouts.

I hope I won't meet him. He seems dangerous. The weird thing is that no one knows what he looks like. I wonder if I unknowingly passed him on the street.

I spent the rest of the day wandering around the city. I've always wondered why people want to live in New York so much. It's probably the Gossip girl's effect. But if you don't have that much money, you don't attend a prestigious school, and you don't meet Chuck Bass, life in new york is like life in any other city. or I'm too skeptical.

I stopped by one of the cafes and had a coffee to go. I didn't want to sit at the table, much less alone. Even though no one pays attention to it, I still feel uncomfortable.

Before I knew it all my coffee landed on the floor and my legs

"My fault!" In front of me stood a tall, dark-haired man with dark eyes. I can't deny that he was handsome.

"Ah, don't worry. At least I have something to tell my friend"

"You aren't a New Yorker, are you?" he asked

"How do you know?"

"So let me see if you were a New Yorker you would probably scream at me, punch me in the face and tell me to get the fuck off, but you were nice" he smiled
