"Nothing great comes without a risk"

Lilianne's POV

It's been a month since I saw Jason. He had to go away for a month to work. If killing, drug selling can be called work. No matter what happened that night, I tried to make the best of my vacation. I have spent so much time with Lucy. I decided to tell her about a night with Jason Mccann and I learned so many interesting facts from her, like that her boyfriend is his best friend's cousin. Although, she told me to stay away from him because it can be too dangerous to be involved in this kind of thing. I loved that she wasn't judgemental, she was there for me, listening to all the things I said to her.

A voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Lilianne Navaeh Scott, get up! You are going to be late for your first day in school!" My mom burst into my room.

"Jesus, mom! I'm almost up! Besides, what are you doing here? I can take the subway, it's not a big deal"

"I took a day off, because I wanted to support you!" she exclaimed

What am I? Five- I thought

"Give me 15 minutes and I'll be ready"

I rushed to the bathroom, I know how impatient this woman is, and given the traffic jams, I will have to listen to her complaining longer than usual. After doing all the steps, I went to the wardrobe. What would I like to wear on the first day? Something simple and comfy. I opted for a pair of black loose-fitting pants and a white top. I quickly took my bag and ran to the kitchen where my mother was waiting for me.

"Are you excited?" she asked while we were getting into the car

"Not really," I said

After 30 minutes we got there. I said goodbye and got out of the car. This school is huge! I texted  Lucy not wanting to go in alone and look like a fresh loser. My phone made a noise. Thank God, maybe it's her! But to my surprise it was Jason.

From Jason:

Good luck, today!

It was strange. Before I could text him back, Lucy appeared and we entered the building together.

"So is there something I should know?" I asked

"I will be your guardian angel today, so not really. I checked and we have almost all classes together" she said

"I'm relieved"

The rest of the day passed calmly. I met a couple of Lucy's friends. We were assigned a few projects, luckily to be done alone. I hate group stuff. After less than 8 hours, we left this building. Lucy went with Marcus, and Stephanie and I were going to head towards the subway.

"What is Jason Mccan doing here?" she asked terrified

In fact, the most dangerous criminal stood in front of us, absolutely not worried about the fact that he was in a public place where the police could drive up at any time. He stood and looked around as if he was looking for someone. Part of me was hoping that he was looking for me...

"Lilianne! He is coming, act natural!" she whispered. I'm not surprised she is scared. I would also be if I saw him for the first time and knew who he is.
