As a kid Betty was always an amazing bright and young girl. She always made sure to do everything right in life. She slays wanted to be at the top of her game even at such a young age, she was an outstanding and intelligent kid.She put 100% of her effort in everything because she wanted to make sure she had a bright future.
She loved to dance, study, all she loved doing was extracurriculars with her friends. But ever since she entered Middle School things have been off. She began getting bullied once she entered sixth grade, sure she had a few friends but they turned out to be fake.
It was very difficult for Betty to get by with her life while everyone didn't like her or want to include her in stuff. It made her grow quite a bit of depression resulting in some therapy her parents allowed her to attend.
But it continued, kids made fun of her but she tried ignoring all of it because she was grateful for everything she had she tried her best to keep up even though it was eating at her. When she got to her final year of middle school she began having mental breakdowns and her mom saw her go through her worse.
She hated that her daughter would be teased about her so called "boyfriends" and all.
It was one of her worst years ever. She hated her life but she just kept it all bubbled in or at least she tried to keep it all in. When she finally got into 9th grade and to a whole new school she thought it would all be different. But it really didn't, in fact the first day of the new year she was embarrassed after a boy had 'asked her out'
Turns out that later that day his girlfriend fought her. She went to the principals office with bruises and cuts and her parents were gonna take it up with the school board if no one got punished but it just made it worse. All of those kids friends found out and targeted her.
She was now in sophomore year and nothing has changed. She's just tried to change herself for the better. She was at home as she was tearing up trying to cover some bruises on her face. She frowned as her mom came in with a soft smile.
She grabbed her beauty blender and said "hey..."
Betty gulped and her mom helped her saying "your dad wouldn't want to see you like this either..."
She held her face and covered up the last of the purple bruises and frowned.
"You okay?" She asked Betty and she shook her head.
Her mom frowned and kissed her head.
"Mom..." she started.
Alice nodded and Betty said "I'm scared..."
Alice sighed and held her hands saying "it's gonna be okay..."
Betty shook her head "I don't wanna go back to school..."
Her mom said "okay...we can...we can transfer you."
Betty nodded saying "I would like that..."
She nodded and suddenly her mom handed her the family credit card.
"Your father and I know how difficult it's been for you...we don't want you to get hurt anymore... and we also want you to cheer up...you have a limit...500. Today is Halloween so no one will be at the mall, they'll be partying or whatever...we trust you, so go out and buy yourself something pretty okay?"
