The King's Obsession [Episode 41]

Namjoon walked through the cold floors of dungeon while looking around, checking

the traces of guards. He already came in dungeon through secret tunnel but walking through dungeon without getting noticed was big challenge for him.

He stopped his feet and looked at the door of the cell which belonged to eldest

Prince, Park Bogum. He passed through the door and headed towards the sector 4.

The king stopped himself when he noticed the prince of Daegu sitting all alone with his chess board.

Jimin: Aren't you leaving for Daegu, prince?

Taehyung smiled when he looked at the King who was making his steps towards

Prince.

Taehyung: Didn't expect you here, King.

Jimin: Thought about visiting my friend before he goes back to his province.

-Taehyung laughed under his breathe in disbelief.

Taehyung: Friend? Since when I became your friend?

-The King just shrugged his shoulders and took the seat facing towards the prince.

Jimin: You aren't very talkative person, Kim. You don't have any friends so thought calling you as my friend will make you happy.

Taehyung: *smiles* I am indeed happy.

Taehyung: I don't have many friends. Sucks to be me, right? But atleast there's noone
that would betray me.

-King's smile dropped, his expressions turned into serious one.

Jimin: Why don't we have a match before you leave Busan, Kim.

Taehyung: Are you challenging me in chess, Park?

Jimin: Friendly challenge.

-Taehyung chukled and sat straight on his chair and started to fix the spawns on the chess board.

The silence filled in the room, both of their stares were on the chess board. One by

one, each of them moved their small pieces on the board.

Jimin: Rose was pregnant with Namjoon's child.

Jimin suddenly spoke making Taehyung to look at him.

Jimin stared at Taehyung before speaking further.

Jimin: You don't seem so shocked, Taehyung.

Taehyung: *chuckled* You know that I hardly express my feelings.

The King nodded his head and moved his knight three steps further, attacking

Taehyung's white King. Jimin: Heard that your father really liked my biological mother.

Taehyung clenched his jaws, his angry stares still on the chess board. A wave full of anger hit in his mind. Taehyung moved his white King away.

Jimin: But Erica married my father and your father's pride was hurt very badly.

-Jimin smirked when he saw Taehyung's white knuckles of his fist.

Jimin moved his black Queen towards Taehyung's white king.

Jimin: Your own father tortured your mother because he still liked Queen Erica.

Jimin: There were rumors about King Seok-joon and Queen Erica's affairs. "chuckled" My biological mother is a bitch. But someone is messing with me. And trust me,

that person is more toxic than Erica.

Monica, the personal assistant of Queen Erica hurriedly scurried in Queen's room.

Erica: Why so in panic, Monica? Monica: N-namjoon!

Erica raised one of her eyebrows and looked at Monica in curiosity.

Erica: What about him? Monica: I saw him going in dungeon.

Myungsoo lifted his head when he heard some soft sound of foot steps coming towards his cell. He eyes followed the shadow and saw Namjoon standing infront of the bars.

Namjoon threw the long, metal key in the cell. Namjoon: You can't unlock the security with a simple hairpin but can unlock with that key.

-Myungsoo's eyes widened in shock.

Namjoon: Y/n is in her room on the 5th floor. Park Bogum is in the sector 5. If you tell anybody that I helped you to escape then trust me, I will kill you at that right moment.

Namjoon: Start to count till 100. Once I m out of the dungeon, you are free to escape

yourself. The secret tunnel is in the sector 2 which is behind the gate no. 3

That tunnel will lead you to the fifth floor.

Namjoon: And you know the secret exits of this palace. Myungsoo: *smirks* I know.

Namjoon: Good luck.

-With that Namjoon walked away from Myungsoo.

Jimin: Checkmate, Taehyung.

-Taehyung froze for a moment when he realised that he lost the game.

Jimin: Ace can surely make you win.

-Jimin leaned closer towards the shocked prince. Jimin: But don't forget about the Joker.

Jimin: Joker is always a game changer.

Y/n: I should apologize to him. I should not always bring my brother's topic infront of him. He will think that I am just using him

You suddenly flinched as the door opened. Your body froze for a moment when you

saw your brother coming in your room.

Y/n: M-myungsoo?!

You quickly rushed towards him and hugged him. Y/n: Oh my god! You're free?! D-did he really release you

Myungsoo thought you were talking about Namjoon. Myungsoo: Yes. He did. We have to leave this palace before they seize us.

You noticed some fresh blood on his shirt. Y/n: Who's blood is this, Myungsoo-ah? Myungsoo: Doesn't matter. Let's go!

Myungsoo grabbed your hand and tried to get out of your room. Y/n: W-wait! I want my answer, Myungsoo! Who's blood is this? Myungsoo: Y/n?! I will explain you later....come with me!!

Y/n: I-I can't! I can't come with you, Myungsoo! And why you are being afraid? He already released you!

-Myungsoo started to drag you out of your room without giving any answers of your questions.
