*Unknown*

"How did you know?"

Kakashi stood in front of Naruto with a calm expression on his face. Naruto laid motionlessly in his bed; his lids closed tightly.

"Know what?"

"Back when I gave you three your Genin test, you spoke of my two teammates, Obito and Rin. How did you know about them, what I did to them?" Kakashi had either pushed it to the side or had completely forgotten about asking his blonde student about his knowledge of his former team. Naruto opened his eyes and sat up, his eyes landing on his sensei.

"You fascinated me when I was younger. After you saved me, I always wanted to learn more about the Anbu who saved my life. So, I took it upon myself to find out everything I could about you." Naruto began, Kakashi listening to him carefully.

"I quickly realized that someone like you wouldn't be in the textbooks at the academy or in any kind of book at the library, so I went to the next best place, the file room in the Hokage Tower. I quickly found out all about you, your team that was led by the Fourth Hokage, and all major details I needed."

Kakashi frowned at his words.

"If you knew all about it and looked up to me in some way, then why did you use Obito and Rin as some sort of tool to move yourself forward?" Kakashi asked as he narrowed his eye at Naruto, who just shook his head.

"At that point, it didn't matter if I looked up to you or not, you were an enemy. Remember the whole "don't even try to attack me without trying to kill me" thing you put on? Anything went, so I went with the easiest option." Kakashi felt a hint of annoyance stir within him as Naruto brought up his old words.

"And plus...anything goes in the shinobi world. If my enemies have any dirt on me, I know for a fact that they will throw it at me. Why would I sabotage myself by not using the same tactics." Naruto explained.

"Maybe so you can outsmart them?" Kakashi retorted to which Naruto looked out of his window, his eyes landing on the full moon.

"Shinobi must take every and all opportunities they can get, so that's what I'll do.

*Balcony*

Silence filled the balcony of Genin as the chatter of the attendees filled their ears. Naruto sat in a seat far away from the others who sat in an uncomfortable silence. The Sand trio didn't help the feeling. Naruto turned his head slightly as he heard footsteps approaching from the left. His eyes locked with Sakura before he turned away. She sat next to him.

"She's going to be fine Naruto, Gaara couldn't have-"

"I am going to kill him." Naruto spoke flatly. Sakura's eyes widened as she turned to him.

"You can't!" she exclaimed. Naruto scoffed at her.

"He killed people in that forest. He crippled Lee, and he nearly killed Sayu, no way in hell am I gonna let him continue to walk around like he's untouchable." Sakura leaned closer to Naruto after his response.

"You've done similar damage, to Neji, Kiba. That sound ninja. You've done things just like that, and if you keep doing that, you could turn into him. Killing mindlessly, searching for blood." Naruto stared blankly at her for a moment before turning away. His mind was racing after seeing what Gaara had done to Sayu. He dropped his voice to a whisper.

"Sayu would do it for me."

"What?" Sakura stared at the side of Naruto's face as he watched Genma approach the middle of the arena.

"If the roles were reversed, if it were me that had been embarrassed like that, Sayu would kill Gaara after what he did to me. Why should I not?" Naruto finished. Sakura however wasn't able to respond.
