Invasion

*Two Years Ago*

Naruto scrunched his face in pain as he hit the ground. Cheering reached his ears as he closed his eyes. It was the annual monthly sparring session between the members of the academy. The reason everyone was cheering was because of the person he was fighting had the upper hand on him.

Sayu looked down at him with disgust in her eyes. She moved closer to the downed Uzumaki. She dropped down on to a knee and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. She raised her fist, glaring down at the blonde.

"Submit." she spoke calmly. Naruto opened his eyes. Sayu was looking down at him with a pissed off gaze. She blocked the sun, though beams of light shined through and hit his eyes, causing him to squint. Her way of speaking made Naruto chuckle. She gripped his shirt tighter in response. "What's so funny?"

"The fact that you think I'll actually forfeit a match against you." Naruto said with a chuckle following. He smiled at her as her glare intensified. "You're gonna have to beat me to win this match"

Sayu felt everything that was holding her back snap. She began to throw her fist towards his face. As it was about to make contact, she felt restriction. She looked to her left and glared. Iruka stood over the duo while gripping Sayu's wrist.

"Sayu wins." he spoke loudly; however he didn't know if the others heard. He got confirmation when they began to cheer in response. Sayu glared at Iruka for a moment and then released Naruto, who's head hit the ground. She stood and walked away from the two. Iruka turned towards Naruto and extended a hand. Naruto smiled at him as he took it.

"Thanks Iruka-Sensei!" he exclaimed brightly. Iruka could only smile back at the blonde.

"Of course Naruto, we watch over each other here. I'll continue to watch over you as long as you watch over me!" Iruka responded with an eye smile. Naruto laughed.

"I'll always watch over you Iruka-Sensei!"

*Current Time*

Naruto dodged back as Kakashi planted a kunai in the ninja's throat. He retracted it as the man gripped his throat and fell to the ground. Both shinobi returned to their back-to-back position. Naruto gripped his katana tightly.

"Two more." he stated. Kakashi nodded as his eyes landed on the ninja standing in front of him.

"I got this one." Naruto nodded in response. The ninja in front of him dashed forward at crazy speeds. Naruto put his katana in front of him, making it seem like he was holding it loosely. The ninja appeared in front of him and knocked it from his grasp. Naruto ducked as he sent a punch to his face and stabbed the man in the leg with the katana he had caught. He removed a kunai from his pouch and flung it behind him.

Kakashi was slowly approaching the shinobi before his senses flared. He moved to the left quickly and watched as a kunai zipped past him. His eye followed it and watched the kunai plant itself in the ninjas forehead. He turned back and saw Naruto standing above the man who was holding onto his leg. He lifted his katana above the downed man.

"I told you I had him." Kakashi spoke calmly. Naruto dropped his sword, putting the man out of his misery.

"You were taking too long." was all Naruto said as he retrieved his blade from the man and turned towards Kakashi. His eyes searched past him however, landing on his two teammates. In an instant he dashed towards them, Kakashi followed the blonde.

Sayu had blocked a punch and sent one back to the man. Both kunoichi's were fighting the last of the shinobi they had intercept, this man just happened to be very... large. He backhanded Sayu who was launched back. He picked Sakura up and slammed her into the ground. Both teammates recoiled from the contact. The man stood above the Sayu with a grin.
