Taehyung's POV

My heart was pounding in my chest, and I could feel the rage building within me, but it wasn’t just anger. It was pure, raw fear. Fear of losing her again. I had already lost her once, and the thought of it happening again... I couldn’t bear it.

She was everything to me. She always had been. My world, my reason for breathing. Without her, there was no point. Everything stopped when she was near me. Everything was simpler. I couldn't live without her, and I wouldn’t. Not again.

As I pushed Gomma harder, my mind was racing. I didn’t realize how much I was holding back, how much fear I was trying to suppress. I was scared. Scared that I might not make it in time, scared that she might be lost to me forever.

When I finally put together who Sehun was, the one who had taken her, everything clicked. The person we had been searching for all along... it was him. That realization only spurred me on, and I couldn’t stop now. I had to find her. I had to get to her before it was too late.

The dense forest felt like it was closing in on me as I followed the fresh tracks of Sehun's horse. I had to trust my instincts now. If I lost him... if I lost her... I didn’t know what I would do. My grip on the reins tightened as I urged Gomma forward, the horse responding with surprising speed.

But then, without warning, Gomma jerked to a halt. I almost flew off the horse, but somehow, I managed to hold on. I pulled the reins, confused, trying to figure out what was wrong.

"Gomma, what’s going on?" I asked, my voice softer than I intended, trying to calm him. But the horse wasn’t listening. He was frantic, his eyes wide with fear as he pranced in circles. His ears were twitching, pointing in a direction I couldn’t see, and I felt a chill run down my spine.

Then it hit me—something was wrong. Gomma wasn’t just afraid; he was reacting to something. Something dangerous.

Before I could react, the horse bucked, and I was thrown from his back, landing hard on the wet ground. Pain shot through my body, but I didn’t have time to focus on it. I couldn’t afford to be distracted. Not now. I quickly tried to get to my feet, wincing as I pushed through the pain.

Gomma was gone. The sound of his hooves fading into the distance. I didn’t care. I couldn’t waste any more time.

I stood up, my heart pounding as I turned back to where the tracks led. I had to keep going. I had to find her.

But as I made my way deeper into the forest, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was watching me. The sounds of the forest were growing louder—the rustling of leaves, the call of distant animals, and something else... something sinister.

I was growing uneasy. The trees were thicker here, the path more treacherous, and the air was heavy with the scent of danger. I couldn’t help but look over my shoulder, the hairs on the back of my neck standing up.

Then I heard it. The unmistakable howl of a wolf.

I froze. My eyes darted to the shadows, catching the gleam of amber-colored eyes glowing in the dark. A wolf. A pack of them, most likely. I could hear their growls echoing through the trees.

This wasn’t a good time for a fight with wolves. They were fast, strong, and relentless. But I didn’t have a choice.

I gripped my sword tighter, my fingers aching from the pressure. I couldn’t afford to be caught off guard. If they attacked, I would have to defend myself. But this wasn’t just about surviving the wolves. It was about getting to her.

"Shit," I muttered under my breath, swallowing hard as I kept my eyes on the glowing eyes in the distance. "This is not the time for this."

I stepped forward cautiously, knowing I had to be quick. I couldn’t waste time. If I was going to face whatever was out there, I needed to be focused. My mind couldn’t stray from the goal.
