Is Us the Right Thing?

[Your POV]

I laid in bed next to the man wrapped in bandages. 

My body felt sore; my muscles aching.

I turned, facing the monster that slept beside me.

I reached my hand out, to move his hair out of his face, but I stopped halfway.

"You're the most beautiful when you're asleep," I whispered. "It would be a shame to wake you up."

I forced myself to get up, ignoring the pain.

I loved him 

and 

he loved me

His love was deep

yet suffocating

It felt like thorns were wrapped around me. The outside was wonderful, like a blooming rose, but it seemed to be stabbing me from the inside.

I walked to the bathroom, ready to take a shower. I was about to take off my robe until something caught my eye.

I stared at the sink counter; a single lipstick was put next to the bar of soap. 

He must've brought another one over while I was gone. 

I knew it.

This relationship was nothing but a joke to him.

It was insulting. I knew how open he was with it; excuse after excuse, fight after fight.

He was testing my love yet I still stayed with him

Because I just loved him so much

I was trapped. I just couldn't seem to leave him. Every single time I tried, he did nothing to stop me. 

I stopped myself.

 He gave me all the excuses yet he never denied when I asked him. 

I changed myself countless times for him. I did everything for him. I-

"Awake already? Kagura chan~" 

I bit my lip.

"What are you holding?" he yawned. 

I turned towards him.

"Who's is this?" I asked him.

He looked at it blankly.

"You... how many times is this?"

"I-"

"Why do you do this?" I asked, my voice shaking. "Is my love not enough for you? Why are you always like this?"

He said nothing

His face was blank. He had no emotion in his expression.

Silence was all he could give me.

"Get out," I said, wiping my tears, "I'm going to shower."
