[Your POV]
I looked through my papers on my desk, hoping that work would distract me from the gentleman sitting in front of me. The thing that pissed me off was that Dazai wasn't saying anything. I definitely didn't want to talk because I never talk unless I'm annoyed or talking is needed. I wanted to forget what I said last night but the memory kept echoing in my head as if it were haunting me. I tried to hide my ears and bury my face in my work. I knew that I was blushing badly.
"What did you want to talk about?" I asked, coldly. "Did you just make everything up just to waste my time?"
He stared at me and smiled. "Your ears are red."
I stood up, my face growing hotter.
"They're not!" I protested. "It's just that it's... it's hot in this room!"
"Yes, yes," he chuckled.
I immediately sat back down and shuffled my papers together, trying not to fidget.
"So uh..." I began. "Um.. Uh.. Are..."
"What is it?"
"I- Um... Were you- uh- going to talk about... you know.. last night?"
I could see a faint blush appear on his face.
After a bit of awkward silence he finally opened his mouth.
"Actually I wasn't going to," he said, "but if that's what you want to talk about, sure."
I crumpled my papers a little bit due to all the embarrassment I was feeling. I just brought up a unnecessary topic.
"Then why are you here?" I quickly changed the topic.
He froze. "I don't know. Why am I here?"
I felt frustrated but not surprised. Didn't he tell me that he had something important to tell me? Is he just trying to waste my time again?
"You're always like this," I muttered. "You just want to waste my time, don't you?"
"I can't protest against that," Dazai said, getting up.
He walked towards me, gazing into my eyes. I felt as if I couldn't even look at his face but I still managed to catch myself staring at him; his brown eyes looked a little more lively than before.
"I don't understand," I snapped back to reality. "Why are-"
Dazai pulled me into a tight hug. The hands that wrapped around me surprised me.
His embrace was warm, his breath brushed up against my ear. I shuddered.
My face flushed red it felt as if all the heat in my body went to my head.
"Wh-what are you doing?" I stammered.
He answered by putting his head against my shoulder, burying his face at the side of my neck.
I gasped.
Was I dreaming?
I layed my head on his arms; I wanted to hide my face so he couldn't see my blushing, but I was completely sure that he already witnessed it.
Badump, badump.
I couldn't tell who's heartbeat it was; his or mine. He was close enough to me where I could feel his chest leaning over my chair.
"This feeling is so strange," Dazai spoke, hugging me tighter. "What a peculiar emotion."
"I-I can't with you," I whispered.
I felt a sudden brush on my neck.
"EEK!" I shuddered, immediately touching my neck. "Did you just... ki-?"
He gave me a mischievous smile.
I kicked him in the leg. "I really can't with you!"
