Aurora was greeted with complete, utter chaos as soon as she stepped into Gold's bedroom.

Onyx had just flung a pillow straight at Eris' face, cutting off whatever she was about to say. Eris let out a battle cry before going for a counter-attack, leaping onto the bed with a pillow in each hand.

Yuri reached out to stop them, but Akiri pulled her away by the shoulder before she could get lost in the crossfire. Akiri facepalmed with her other hand, as though this wasn't the first pillow fight they'd tried to stop that night.

Gold hurried to Aurora's side, fretfully grabbing her arm with both of their hands.

"Get them to stop," They pleaded. "Please."

"I got your back." Aurora huffed a laugh. She grabbed a fallen pillow at her feet, throwing it at Eris.

When her friends turned around to see where it had come from, their expressions brightened at the sight of her.

"AURA!" Eris beamed.

"Quiet," Onyx reminded, smacking Eris' side with a pillow.

Akiri took a seat on the floor, beckoning for Aurora to do the same. Yuri joined them on the floor, while Eris and Onyx stayed on the bed. Gold busied themselves with preparing their laptop at their desk, logging into their Netflix account.

"Aura, thank goodness you're here. Now you can set Onyx straight." Eris chirped, to which Onyx scoffed. "Tell her she's wrong– my movie choices aren't garbage."

"They're pretty garbage," Onyx muttered amusedly under her breath.

"Woah, woah," Aurora interjected before another pillow fight could break out. "Sorry, Eris. Can't intervene for this one– I haven't seen any of the movies you put in the chat."

"Are you KIDDING?" Eris gawked, turning towards the desk. "Gold, is it possible to play multiple movies at once? Aura needs to watch all of them NOW."

"Uh, yeah, no," Gold disapproved, typing into the movie search bar. "One will do."

"Awh, you're no fun." Eris pouted.

"I'm down for any movie, honestly," Aurora assured. "Sure beats staying at that foster house..."

"Did you want to talk about it?" Yuri asked. "You sounded upset over text."

"It... it's nothing." Aurora brushed it off with a shrug. "Just had an argument with them, is all."

"Sounds like a bunch of douchebags to me," Onyx figured.

"Probably the worst," Eris nodded.

"Like I said before," Akiri rolled her eyes. "Your agent is seriously the worst at her job."

"You're telling me..." Aurora grumbled.

"Well, if it's any, er– consolation..." Gold paused for a second, focusing while they plugged their laptop cable into an outlet. "We're glad you're back."

Aurora's friends chimed in with their own support, and Aurora smiled. What would she do without them?

"Y'know what? I propose a toast!" Eris announced proudly.

"Oh, really?" Onyx rose a brow. "With what?"

A huge, mischievous grin formed along Eris' lips.

"With THIS!"

She dug her hands into the pockets of her pajama pants, pulling out something grasped tightly within her balled fists. She flicked the tiny objects towards each of her friends, laughing all the while.

Aurora's hands found one of them, pulling it closer into view. Her smile widened.

"Are– are these–" Gold sputtered, taken aback. "Mini TWIX???"

"Eris, what the actual hell?" Onyx stared at her, completely bewildered. "Where in the world did you get all of these? WHEN?"

"Ask and ye shall receive," Eris answered ominously. Onyx raised a finger before promptly lowering it, reaching for one of the closest candies.

"Now I propose a toast!" Eris rose one of the ridiculously small candies into the air, and her friends followed along. "For all adults, and especially for Aurora's latest fosters, to go and fuck themselves!"

Aurora and her friends cheered, laughing, before ripping open their candy wrappers and taking a bite.

"Okay, now I'm really glad I came back," Aurora joked.

"Hey!" Akiri nudged her side playfully. "I thought you came back for us?"

"Oh, yeah, yeah," Aurora made a show of waving her hand. "And, well, you know... The candy too."

"Aurora!" Akiri feigned offense, and Aurora mirrored her expression before both of them erupted into a fit of giggles.

"Hey, don't eat all of the snacks just yet!" Gold scolded, flicking off the lights. They placed their laptop onto the floor, fullscreening the movie they were to watch. Aurora's eyes traveled over to the title at the top of the page, reading How to Train Your Dragon.

"OOH, movie time!" Eris slid off the edge of the bed, seating herself next to Yuri. Onyx followed after her, tearing open a second candy as she settled.

Gold jammed their finger into the spacebar before sitting in the middle of the group. Yuri handed them a mini TWIX, and they took it in gratitude.

Aurora exhaled through her nose, feeling much better now that she was with her friends again. As the movie's opening scene began to play, she looked down at the unopened candy she had grasped in between her fingers.

Yeah... the candy never really mattered.
