(A/N: Alright my demonlings, I'm super excited about this one! I won't spoil the surprise, but this is my favorite chapter so far, and it's gonna be a doozy!)

(The plot thickens. Master, why don't you just tell them there's a-)

(Shhhh shut up Sammy, no spoilers! Now either keep your trap shut or I'll make you address me as My Queen from now on and throw you in the Annoying Character Dishwasher for a spin.)

(*sigh* yes ma'am)

(Would it help if I promised to introduce your precious music department?)

(Is that even a question?)

(Alright, Mr. Sass. Music Department it is, but only in the next chapter. Now on with the show!)

"Can you at least show me what I know it is you've brought before interrogating me?" Bendy whined, and (Y/N) shook her head with a resigned laugh, (H/L) (H/C) locks flipping over her shoulder as she did so.

"Alright, alright, fine. Instead of that bacon soup, for starters, I brought some real food."

With that, she turned and unzipped her back, pulling out a few bags of chips, some sandwiches, and an entire bag full of strawberries. Bendy stared at them with a frown, tilting his head at the strawberries in particular.

"Um... what are those?" He asked suspiciously, and (Y/N) grinned at him.

"They're called strawberries. Try one. They're good, I promise."

"Hmm..." He mumbled as he eyed her skeptically while simply stuffing the whole thing in his mouth. His eyes widened, and he quickly snatched three more. "Sweet conniption, where have these been all my life?!"

"So..." (Y/N) started off as she leaned back, taking a bite of her sandwich. "I guess the first thing I should ask, is how did you get here? What happened?" She inquired curiously, unable to hold back a smile as Bendy's eyes shined at how much he was enjoying the food. Her question, though, caused his joy to falter a little, and he looked off into the distance, sighing.

"It all started about eight years ago. For a couple years previously, I was just the dancing demon you saw on screen, only there for entertainment. But eight years ago, was when the machine was created. The director, Joey Drew, wanted more than just any plain old cartoon. He wanted to get ahead so badly, I guess it started to drive him crazy. He started ranting and raving about 'appeasing the gods' to become more successful. At that point, I had gained sentience, and I could move around the studio through either drawings of me or cutouts, things like that. But it wasn't until most people had already left that he made the first attempt at bringing us to life. Which was me."

(Y/N) nodded in fascination, attempting to hide the wince when he mentioned her father's name, and the following cringe as she realized what all he had really done, unaware of the look in his eyes when he turned back in her direction, and a realization was forming in his own mind, but he didn't fully recognize it yet. Something he knew but hadn't realized that she did not. Bitterness fell off his tongue as he continued.

"But Joey wasn't satisfied with how I turned out. Called me an abomination. Kept me locked away in a separate part of the studio, along with my friends. The people that were left would come visit us during the workdays, but as Joey got worse and worse, more of them left. And one by one, my friends and I lost a part of ourselves, mostly due in part to the way Joey treated us." His voice cut off with a crack and he winced at the memories. (Y/N) tilted her head, eyes softening as he went on, but there was a faint humming in the back of her head, almost as if the story he was telling felt familiar. That pang was hitting her again, and by now it was beginning to consume her. Something about this place.
