"(Y/N)!" cried an all-too-familiar voice, as none other than (Y/N)'s twin brother stepped out of the shadows of the doorway, his eyes narrowed. In each arm, he held one of their younger, also twin brothers, Logan and Toby.

(Y/N) felt her jaw fall open in shock, her expression turning nervous when a malicious, protective growl began emanating from the Ink Demon beside her. Placing an assuring hand on his shoulder, she took a cautious breath before fully facing her brother.

"Danny?" she murmured, softly but clearly, as she lifted her head to meet his burning emerald eyes. "What are you doing here?"

"No, sis, I guess the better question should be, what are you doing here? There's a reason we're not supposed to come to this miserable place.." he hissed in reply without missing a beat, shooting a glare directly at Bendy, to which Bendy's growls only grew louder.

(Y/N) glanced between them frantically, struggling to keep her cool by now.

"Danny, you know why I had to come back..." she replied calmly, her eyes beginning to narrow as her voice turned cold. She turned on him, ever so slowly. "You knew all along, didn't you? You knew what Joey did to me... what he put us through... you've seen it all, and yet you're asking why I'm here instead of suffering under that sick bastard? You've really got nerve..."

Her voice had escalated to an enraged growl, and both Danny and Bendy stared at her in a stupor. Neither had heard her this angry before, and (Y/N) resumed her dark glare until it finally dissipated moments later. She looked away in disappointed silence, and Danny sighed.

"(Y/N)... I know why you're upset, but really, I was trying to protect y-"

"From what, Danny? From Bendy?" she scoffed, gesturing in Bendy's direction, and her brother choked on his words. She shook her head, frustration mounting. "I don't think you get the picture, Danny. Bendy's always been there for me. And even when we left, he was always waiting. Where were you when I needed you? When our own father ruined our lives? When he-"

Her voice cracked, and tears began to fill her eyes. Within seconds she felt what she knew was Bendy's arms around her, but she couldn't even react, as the heavy tears became blinding, and her entire body was trembling.

"When he scarred me..."

Danny went silent again, his head down. (Y/N) gave a harsh, bitter laugh.

"I'm not going home, Danny. Forget it."

She turned to leave, taking Bendy's hand, but her brother's voice stopped her.

"He's getting suspicious, you know."

"...What do you mean?" she whispered, not turning around. He took a step in her direction, the anger in his eyes now replaced with pleading concern.

"He knows something's up. You don't come home much, but he's noticed you're home even less than usual. He's going to find out eventually, sis. And I don't want to see what happens when he does." He paused for a moment, then continued. "If you want to keep what you've got, and I can't stop you from keeping it, I suggest you at least be more careful..." he said softly, his expression crestfallen.

(Y/N) hesitated, waiting what seemed like an eternity before finally turning towards him again. Her blue eye shimmered a faint silver, the green one flickering gold, yet there was something dark in their depths as she replied.

"Then we get out."

The silence rang throughout the room, deafening as Danny's eyes widened with the realization of what she truly meant. "You mean... leave the house? Leave Joey behind?"

"Exactly. You and the boys can go to our aunt and uncle's house, they've already agreed to it."

"What about you?"

"I'm staying."

"Wait... what?"

"You heard me, Danny." (Y/N) sighed, closing her eyes. "I've gotta fix this. I already have a plan in place. You're just going to have to trust me."

"(Y/N), you can't just-"

"I'm staying here, D'Angelo!" she shouted, whipping her head towards him, and everything froze. He only stared at her, while she glared back at him with her eyes burning. After a few moments of silence, she looked down, another drawn-out sigh escaping her lips.

"I'm sorry. But someone has to deal with him. You're going to need time to pack and leave, and someone has to stay behind to keep him busy." She looked up at him, her anger quickly fading into sadness when her gaze met his. "I won't put you and the boys in the middle of this. This is my fight, not yours, Danny."

With that, she slowly eased her hand out of Bendy's to cross the room, throwing her arms around her brother, who stiffened, before relaxing and returning the hug, tears in his eyes.

"I don't want to leave you behind, sis... you've dealt with enough from him already... what if he-?"

"I'll be fine, Danny. I promise. Don't worry about me, just... take care of Logan and Toby, okay?" she replied softly, stopping him before they could both find themselves crying, and she released him. They made eye contact, and he nodded at her, which was enough for her to believe his word.

(Y/N) turned slowly towards the two seven-year-old twins that stood looking at her. A broken smile filled her face when she saw their confused expressions. They ran up to her, both hugging her tightly, and she finally let the tears fall as she embraced them for what she knew could very well be the last time. They didn't know like she did just how Joey could get when he lost his temper. She knew all too well that what she had planned was going to send her father into total madness. But it'd be worth it if they were safe.

Bendy stood across the room watchfully, letting her take her time. Something boiled in his thoughts, but he couldn't quite understand it. Only a few of his thoughts he understood.

Almost as if (Y/N)'s brother could read his thoughts, Danny approached him while (Y/N) spoke softly to the twins. He frowned, an expectant, serious look on his face, as he finally addressed him.

"You take care of her, yeah? Don't let anything happen to her." He muttered, his tone deadly as he eyed Bendy warily, still seeming mistrustful. But it was clear at least that he knew his intentions. Bendy nodded in reply, his eyes narrowed.

"Never. She's safe with me. I promise."

"Good."

"You boys be good for Danny and your aunt and uncle, okay? I'll see you soon.." (Y/N)'s voice rose as she stood up, and the twins nodded, but they seemed reluctant. She gave them her best reassuring smile, before turning back to Danny.

"Alright, let's go home. We'll deal with this later, there's some things I'll have to figure out."

"Okay." he replied quietly, before leaving the room with the boys close behind. Bendy frowned as he returned to her, his head tilted.

"You're leaving?"

(Y/N) sighed, taking his hand in hers, with her free one resting on his cheek.

"For now, yes. But I'll see you later." She glanced behind her to make sure Danny was out of earshot before turning back to Bendy with a wink, a devilish smirk on her face. Bendy returned it, grinning back at her.

"Deal."
