A/N: This chapter does get a little spicy. Nothing more than lime for those who know what that means. Nothing explicit, just a bit more than the normal kiss for those who aren't into reading that sort of thing!
The question that fell from the Outlaw's lips took both Shuichi and Kaede by full surprise. Pink and grey eyes search his face and body posture for any sign that this was a trick question. Even with Shuichi's skills of detective, nothing off could be found in the way Niles stood or how the smirk rested on his lips. Niles watched the two with heavy amusement as he rested against the wall casually with his arms folded over his chest. He would wait to speak again once either Kaede or Shuichi finally found their voice and answered his simple question. To his surprise, it was Shuichi that spoke up first.
"Why do we feel like this is a trick question?" Shuichi finally responds, watching Niles for any change in body language, and especially for aggression.
"It's not really. It's a simple yes or no question," Niles answers. "Can you keep a secret?" he prompts again. Kaede and Shuichi look at each other and then back at Niles.
"We would both like to think we can," Kaede answers, finally finding her voice again.
"Hmm. I suppose that will suffice enough," Niles says before pushing off the wall. As he approaches the two, he brushes his cloak back, making a show of his bow and arrows to remind the two he was armed at all times. Not that he thought either one really needed that reminder but it never hurt to make things clear in situations like this. His smirk widens a bit seeing the two shift uncomfortably at his approach. Instead of stopping in front of the two, he slowly circles them and makes the heels of his boots click with each deliberate step.
"A-Alright," Shuichi stutters out, watching Niles carefully.
"As you both probably imagined, I overheard everything the two of you were talking about," Niles starts out. The smirk on his face turns a bit sadistic seeing the Detective and Pianist pale upon hearing his words. "And well, you're right. Rantaro and I do know more than we're letting on."
"Wait- Really?? I was right on that??" Shuichi asks, nervousness gone upon learning information and that his hypothesis was correct. Niles stops his circling in front of Shuichi. He chuckles and puts his finger against Shuichi's lips.
"Correct little Detective~ Now don't get too excited... We need you to last~ But yes, we know more than anyone el-" Niles starts out, only to be cut off by Kaede. Shuichi was very relieved when Kaede cut Niles off as he could feel himself getting very flustered.
"Be honest- Are you and Rantaro truly innocent in this game??" Kaede blurts out. Niles snorts.
"Of course. Neither of us are the Mastermind though I do not know who the Mastermind is yet," the Outlaw answers.
"So you are innocent! But how do we get the others to see that so we can force the Mastermind to show themself?" Kaede asks. Niles doesn't answer as his gaze shifts upwards. His eye narrows for a moment before returning to the two in front of him. His hand go behind his back and he draws three arrows out of the quiver and the bow and then whips them out. The white haired male then quickly shoots each camera, the shattering of the lenses causing the other occupants to jump.
"Niles-! Why did you do that-?" Shuichi gasps, eyes widening and he immediately looks around, expecting something to come in through the wall or bust the door down.
"There is nothing in the school rules about damaging property though I'm sure that's about to get added," Niles answers nonchalantly. "Now, I'm sure I don't have long to say what I want to say but I wanted to do my best to limit any information in regards to planning about the Mastermind getting back to the Mastermind potentially."
