Finding Niles

After a few days of searching and channeling energy, Nyx had finally done it. Even she was starting to doubt her own magical capabilities in finding Niles with how long this search was taking them. However, she does not let herself rest upon finding Niles' essence through the Dragon Gate. Keeping her gaze affixed to whatever point in the castle she was staring at and one hand channeling the magic being poured into her, Nyx shoots her other hand out to Elise.

"Chalk. Now!" Nyx says. "I found Niles."

"Oh good!" Elise exclaims as she grabs a piece of chalk and pushing it into the female dark mage's hand. Nyx then carefully moves to one portion of the sigil, carefully erasing the location rune before quickly writing the new location rune. She then drops the magic, nearly collapsing in on herself, only for Corrin to stabilize her.

"The world he is in is really dark... And extremely messed up," Nyx says, leaning against Corrin, panting a bit and sweat dripping down her forehead. She looks at the others and was pleased to see that Leo and Odin were in similar states of being.

"How... dark and messed up?" Leo asks from his spot against Elise's side.

"From what I could gather, he's in something called a Killing Game. He has allies in this world though," Nyx answers.

"Niles? Making friends? That's a bit surprising," Leo comments, eyebrows shooting up in surprise.

"Well, I'm sure it took him a hot minute to actually get people's trust," Corrin says. "But I'm more surprised in the fact that he trusted others."

"What's a Killing Game though?" Elise asks, worry creasing her brow as she heals up Leo.

"Odin?" Corrin asks, looking to the retainer.

"This knowledge is not within my dark archive," Odin answers, shaking his head.

"From what it seemed like from the brief world description I was gifted, this world pits 16 individuals against each other where the objective to kill someone and get away with it or to be one of the last few standing," Nyx says.

"Oh my gods! That's absolutely horrible!" Elise gasps out, hand covering her mouth. "Oh thank goodness that Niles is still alive and that he has friends!"

"The world is cruel, Elise. But as much as I hate to give Niles credit, credit is due here. He's far too smart to get himself killed and most likely has the upper hand considering all that he does for Leo and Corrin," Nyx states.

"It's true. Under all that cruelty and perverseness, Niles is quite cunning and has the best chance of surviving something like this. So don't worry too much Elise," Leo says, hoping to quell the worry that he knew would eat away at his sister.

"Regardless, we all need to rest. I'm shocked we've avoided Xander this well," Corrin says.

"We should probably inform him and Camilla tomorrow before Camilla sends an entire squadron to find you," Leo comments.

"...Yeah probably..." Corrin sighs heavily. Nyx chuckles lightly and pats Corrin on the chest. "But anyways, let us all rest and meet here shortly after sunrise. I don't want Niles to suffer in that world for too much longer."

"Aye! I can agree with that one Milord! My dark brother in arms will be rescued from his despairing predicament and all will be well!" Odin says, picking himself up. With the others nodding in confirmation, each person splits off to their respective rooms to rest for the upcoming day's rescue mission.

When morning came around, Nyx was waiting by the location circle, waiting for the three royals to join her and Odin. Upon hearing footsteps and horse hooves, Nyx and Odin turn to the source to see Elise, Leo and Corrin heading towards them. Nyx arches an eyebrow at Leo and Elise, wondering why the two thought horses were needed for this mission but decided against actually speaking the question out loud as to not piss off her in-laws. Once all were present and ready to go, Nyx shunts them off to the world of the Killing Games, prepared for whatever may come their way.

With a loud pop, Nyx, Corrin, Odin, Elise and Leo appear in the courtyard outside of the large school building. Everyone pauses as they look around to make sure nothing would attack them and to see their actual surroundings. None of them could see anything threatening at the moment but that brief moment of peace goes away as alarms start blaring and five odd metal beasts start to close in on them.

"Oh you have got to be shitting me-" Nyx groans as the metal beasts start to surround them.

"Don't let them surround you! Elise! Odin! This way!" Leo says to the two before galloping off towards what would be the casino. He grabs Odin as he passes. Corrin morphs into his dragon form, allowing Nyx to hop on and he takes off towards the school building. All five were hoping that maybe with the chaos, it would bring Niles out to assist them but for now all they could do was search and fend off the bizarre metal beasts.
