Nobody spoke once Monokuma finished his announcement of the third trial beginning. No one wanted to initiate this heavily intertwined murder and most didn't know how to start it. The few who were unaware of the possibility of Korekiyo being both a murderer and a victim didn't have much to even go off of at this point. Seeing that no one else wanted to start this or knew how to, Shuichi takes a deep breath and starts the trial off before Monokuma, or one of the MonoKubs, could yell at them to start already.
"As stated by the Monokuma Files, Himiko was the first of the two to die, with the cause of death being a stab wound to the heart. Her time of death was around 11:30AM. Additionally, Korekiyo's cause of death was three crossbow bolts to the chest with a time of death around 11:48AM, eighteen minutes later," Shuichi states.
"That's an odd amount of time between murders," Kirumi says, frowning a bit at the times. "But since I was watching over Himiko's body, why is Korekiyo's death important here? I thought we were looking for Himiko's murderer?"
"There's a possibility that the deaths are related," Maki answers. "A lot of the evidence found in Korekiyo's Research Lab indicate this."
"I see. Thank you for the clarification," Kirumi says with a nod.
"So why was Himiko in one of those weird rooms anyways? Kind of a weird spot not gonna lie," Kaito says, scratching the back of his head.
"She was summoned there... By Tenko," Shuichi says, pulling out the piece of paper he had found clasped in Himiko's hand. Tenko looks up surprised hearing that information.
"Huh? I didn't summon her there... She summoned me there..." Tenko frowns as she pulls out a piece of paper.
"Monokuma, could you make it so that we can compare the handwriting?" Kaede asks, looking at the Headmaster.
"Monotaro~ Monophanie~ Mind being beary sweet and fulfilling their requests?" Monokuma asks his kids.
"Of course Daddy!" Monophanie answers before disappearing with Monotaro. Monophanie appears next to Tenko with a camera while Monotaro appears next to Shuichi. The pieces of paper appear on the screens surrounding the students.
"Huh, well, whoever wrote these notes was planning to kill both Himiko and Tenko," Miu states.
"Honestly not a bad idea. Pick two people who are really close but are separate enough times to give them a note," Niles couldn't help but comment. This gets Tenko's attention and she turns to the Outlaw, glaring heavily.
"You're the culprit aren't you, you degenerate criminal!" Tenko accuses. "But since you couldn't murder me, you took it out on poor Korekiyo instead!"
"What?! How'd you come to that ludicrous conclusion?!" Niles asks.
"The crossbow!" Tenko answers. "You've got the aim and the skill as loathe as I am to admit it!"
"Not possible," Rantaro say, immediately shutting that down. "Except for a small portion of time, Niles was with me, Maki, Kokichi and Miu in the virtual world. You and Tsumugi can confirm that small portion of time."
"Oh yeah... I helped Niles get back into the virtual world.." Tsumugi says.
"But the crossbow??" Tenko asks, eyebrows furrowing.
"...Not his," Maki says, fiddling with one of her pigtails.
"Hah? It's not? But I thought Niles was the only one who's equipped to use weapons efficiently?" Kaito asks, his eyebrows also furrowing.
