Ryoma had used a speed spell to make them travel the distance a lot faster than normal. They needed to be back for their match against the fairy prince's team after all, but it still felt like forever for Fuji because of nerves.

What would he say, would he speak first? Would he even get a chance to speak at all or would the encounter be entirely Ryoma? Should he do anything? Ryoma gave him no plan at all! He was both frustrated and thankful, not really trusting himself to make logical choices or moves when it comes to his brother.

Fuji notices Ryoma slow down and turns to look at him. He wasn't sure what the vampire was looking for but it seemed he passed as Ryoma nodded and started to head into the clearing. There were 3 hooded figures already waiting. One of them was talking to Kevin, and Fuji noticed some children chained in a cart to the side.

It disgusted him.

There was only one figure guarding the cart though, Fuji thought it would be easy for him to go in and run away.

But he didn't want to ruin Ryoma's plan so he stayed put. Hopefully whatever it was included saving the children as well. Fuji genuinely believes the vampire prince is a good person and would never allow such a thing to continue.

"Ah, the star of the show arrives," Kevin said as soon as he noticed Fuji and Ryoma step into the clearing.

"Shut it!" Ryoma spat. Fuji had to stop himself from flinching at the tone. Ryoma was nothing like how he was used to. His demeanor was more overly arrogant than normal (Fuji didn't think that was even possible for the boy). He also stood taller and carried himself as if he was the most important person in that clearing. He gave off the feeling that the people around him were lucky to be in his presence. "I don't have time to mess around with lowly traders. I came here for one purpose only, where is the plaything like promised?"

The man Kevin was talking to pulled his hood down and gave a tense smile to the vampire. "Yes, as I was trying to convince your associate. The boy you specifically wanted is no longer available but I did prepare some possible substitutes." He motioned for the guard to pull the cart of children closer. "I am not sure of your preference but we do have some children turned already and others pure mortal to be turned yourself if you wish."

Ryoma hissed and flashed his fangs and the trader flinched back slightly. It was almost unnoticeable but Fuji was watching the man closely. "We had a deal!" He spat out with so much venom. "I did not come all this way for second-rate toys. Either get me the one I was promised or I don't hold up my end!"

Ryoma marched up to the trader. "I'll be nice just this once and take only one finger for wasting my time." He snapped his fingers in Kevin's direction. Who at being signaled pulled a knife from behind his back and move towards the trader.

Was Ryoma really going to take the man's finger? Fuji glances at the cages.

Well, it was deserved.

The trader was obviously panicking. Looking back and forth between the knife and Ryoma in hopes that the Vampire boy wasn't being serious. Ryoma just stood back and motioned for Kevin to get on with it.

The trader must have realized Ryoma was serious because he yelled. "Stop! please." Kevin grabbed his arm. "I m so sorry, please. I promise to get what you wanted this time, just give me another chance." Kevin placed the knife at the base of the trader's pinky finger.

"This one boss?" Kevin asked.

The trader got more desperate. "Please! I know! I- I'll make a new deal, everything you were promised and more, please."

Ryoma motioned for Kevin to put the knife down. "Go on."

The trader sighed and clutched his hand from Kevin's hold. "The boy you specifically picked, I'll have him ready in a few days. I'll also give you another one." Ryoma raised an eyebrow. "F-free of course."
