Chapter Finale: Watching from the stars

1 day later...

Ryder and the pups are all so happy that Chase was alive before the coma took the best of him,and Skye was more than happy...she can finally be with the one she loves. Chase remained in the hospital for further checkups and the pups eagerly waited for his return. One day while Chase is resting,Ryder and everyone came.

Chase's POV
Well,I can still feel the pain of the bump,but I'm glad I'm alive. Ryder came in with the other people of Adventure Bay,and they all look so happy to meet me. "Oh Chase! Good thing you're okay... While you were gone,Skye did most of your work,and she was good at it too,almost as good as you" Mayor Goodway said and I smiled,knowing Skye did it. "Thanks Mayor Goodway..." I said while my voice is still cranky,and she went on her way with Chickaletta clucking on the way out. Hmm,I think she means "get well soon". "Chase! It's a good thing you're alright... Ryder was so dead-worried about you,but I'm glad both of you have managed to get through" Katie said and Calli meowed. "Thanks,Katie" I said and Danny came next. "Yo Chase! You being able to survive that truck hit was so cool! I even had a video of it! Want me to sho-" Danny was interrupted by Ace. "Danny! You don't want to traumatize him, right? Ace said and Danny whined. "Aww okay...but set aside,it was a pleasure to see you again, Chase" Danny said and Ace responded with "Same here". "Thanks guys...and Danny... don't show that video to everyone else okay?" I said and Danny nodded and he and Ace went on their way.

Ryder's POV
"So Chase,how are you doing?" I asked. "Well,going fine I guess..." Chase said as he tried to squirm, adjusting his back. "Chase,are you tired of staying here?" I asked and he said "Well...yeah,but I have to so I can recover...I don't want to rush things like before". "That's my good pup...well,rest assure. The veterinarian will be here in any moment" I said as I went on my way.

7 days later...

Chase has finally recovered from his injuries and was taken out of the hospital. The pups are so happy that can play with him again. Chase tried to be more careful this time,as he doesn't want to worry them like before.

Chase's POV
*sighs* at last,I was able to feel my legs again. I decided to sit outside my puphouse and I noticed it was clean despite not having me in it for weeks. Skye must've done a lot while I was gone,I owe her a lot. I can see Marshall,Everest and Rocky are playing tag while Rubble and Zuma are eating pup treats. Skye approached me and nuzzled herself on me. "Hey Chase,how do I look? Skye asked while still wearing the police outfit. "Well,you're not that bad being me" I said jokingly and she shoved my side while giggling. "So good to be back again,Skye..." I said and she smiled. "Missed you too,Chase..." Skye said. "Skye?" I said. "Yeah?" Skye asked. "Thank you...I can't believe you managed to do my duties,took care of Ryder and the others,and saved my life at the last second...I owe you a lot" I said. "Oh Chase...you already gave me what I want..." Skye said. "What is it?" I asked. "You of course... You came back for us,you came back for me,and that's all I ever wanted,and you did... Thank you too" Skye said and we both nuzzled.

Skye's POV
"Anyways...how were you able to get away from your evil version? He sent Marshall and Everest a letter of your condition" I said. "Well...it's turns out he's just jealous,but we talked things out and we're okay now" Chase said. "Oh yeah, remember when I told you about my dream where I saw you but made of stars?" I asked and Chase said "Oh but up there,I saw you but made of stars... She was you,but was tasked to watch over me,just like how that Chase you're talking about watches over you". "Really? Sure hope we can meet them..." I said. "Well...meet me out here at 10 p.m." Chase said and I agreed.

11 hours later...

No one's POV
Skye: Well...it's 10 now,I think I can go outside now

Chase: Psst,Skye...here they come. Let's go on top of the lookout

Skye: Sure thing

Chase and Skye went on top of the lookout. A bright light seemingly approached them and it faded,revealing Constellation Skye and Void Chase on it.

Constellation Skye: Hi Chase...hi there Skye

Chase: Hi, Constellation Skye

Skye: Is...is she me?

Constellation Skye: Well,I am you,but I am tasked to watch over your boyfriend in his dreams.

Skye: You're not going to try to take him away from me,right?

Chase: Skye,she would never do that...

Constellation Skye: And besides...I'm already taken

Chase: Really? From who?

Void Chase: Sup guys

Chase: hey Void Chase,glad you had a change of heart

Void Chase: What can I say? I have the best Constellation girlfriend I can ever ask for...

Constellation Skye: Come here,you silly... *nuzzles Void Chase*

Void Chase: And Skye...I'm so sorry for trying to keep Chase away from you...I know how much he means to you,but I let my feelings get in the way instead of helping him so I can prove myself...I hope you can forgive me

Skye: Well,you sacrificed your heart for him,so I already forgave you a long time ago.

Chase: See Void Chase? Skye is a nice girl a pup like me could ever ask for...

Void Chase: Thank you...and gosh it feels so satisfying to see other people happy than scaring them

Constellation Skye: See? I told you there's more to your life than scaring

Chase: Anyways...thanks for helping me get back here...

Constellation Skye: Anything for my friend

Skye: Well,I guess Constellation Chase is looking for me. Let's go get some shut-eye,Chase

Chase and Skye decided to sleep on a couch below the lookout for now,as Constellation Skye and Void Chase slowly disappeared

Chase and Skye: Goodbye! And goodnight!

Constellation Skye: Goodnight to you too,Chase and Skye! And remember...I'll always be watching from the stars...

*Constellation Skye and Void Chase disappears*

Skye: *sighs* What a night...goodnight my love...

Chase: Goodnight too,my lovely...

Chase and Skye had a great night... Chase slowly drifted to sleep with Skye nuzzling with him. Constellation Skye and Void Chase slowly drifted away from the Earth and they both hugged,ready to put aside their differences and start over again. So whenever you sleep and think of what's above that dark,starry night...always remember...there will always be someone watching from the stars...
