Chapter 3: The Fountain of Life

No one's POV
Chase: So Skye- I mean Constellation Skye...how are you guys made?

Constellation Skye: Well...when one is born in your world,a star version of them will be born too

Chase: Oh...but why aren't you attached to Skye if you are born because of Skye?

Constellation Skye: We're attached,but it's not my job to watch over her... I can inherit any skills,talents and attitudes she has along with her feelings,actions and communication. But still,it's not my job to watch over her since someone else is going to do it for me instead

Chase: Who watches over her?

Constellation Skye: "Constellation Chase"

Chase: There's a Constellation version of me?!

Constellation Skye: Of course!

Chase: But why him?

Constellation Skye: A dream is more interesting when it's about the one you love... I watch over your dreams because you have feelings for Skye,while Constellation Chase watches over Skye because she loves you

Chase: So you're saying if someone has a dream,their watchers are the star version of their loved ones?

Constellation Skye: Now you're getting it!

Chase: Oh ok...another question...why can't Constellation Everest watch over Marshall when he isn't asleep,but Constellation Chase is able to watch over Skye even if I'm dead?

Constellation Skye: It takes longer for us to die... We just disappear after a century. As for Constellation Everest...Marshall isn't sleeping,so he isn't dreaming (Daydreaming excluded). Therefore,Constellation Everest can't do her job

Chase: Oh ok...

Chase's POV
Wow...I learned so much about the Constellation people...I think I'm starting to get the hang of this...but wait a minute,I forgot to ask something. Just as I was gonna ask again,Constellation Everest came over and handed us a book. "So,Chase...good news is in your world,you only have 7 days to get back alive. The coma is not that bad,but it'll still be fatal if you don't react quickly" Constellation Everest said. "That's great,and the bad news?" I asked. "In Dreamscape... it's only 48 hours" Constellation Everest said without regret. "WHAT?! THAT'S LIKE TWO DAYS HERE!! I HAVE TO HURRY!" I panicked. "Don't worry,you still have time. In fact,your destination is only 10 kilometers from here" Constellation Everest said. "Are you saying it's like 1 light year in my world like that?" I asked. "No,but it's like 3 days limit in your world" Constellation Everest said. I sighed in relief and hopefully gained my sanity. "What is this?" I asked. "A book,obviously" Constellation Everest said. "I'm serious,what does this book contain?" I asked in a serious tone. "You should've atleast told him about the Fountain of Life,bestie. He doesn't know that,he's just new here" Constellation Skye defended. "Okay then...the Fountain of Life is found by our ancestors before humans existed in your world" Constellation Everest said. "Sometimes,when one's soul wanders in your world after a certain event that doesn't result in their death,we grab these souls,help them in their journey,and guide them to the Fountain so they can step in and return to their world alive and alright" Constellation Everest continued. "Oh...so all I need to do is step in that fountain and I'm back in my world?" I asked. "Now you're getting it" Constellation Everest said. "But wait,I heard you needed some things to get the fountain to work,otherwise it won't let him go" Constellation Skye said. "Of course,it's in this book,everything you need to complete the fountain's needs and fulfill your wish to return is right here" Constellation Everest said. "Ok then,let's go!" I yelped in excitement. "Are you gonna come with us,bestie?" Constellation Skye asked. "I'm sorry bestie...but this is a mission for you and I can't do anything for you except to show you the fountain and its needs. And besides,Marshall is sleeping now so I have to get back at my job. If you need help,the book can provide. You can do it,bestie...you can help him get back in his world and save him from his imminent death...I believe in you" Constellation Everest said. "Okay then...thanks Constellation Everest..." Constellation Skye said as she hugged her. "Well let's go,Chase. We got a fountain to find and some items to get" she said. "Thanks for helping me,Constellation Skye...Skye in my world must've been very sad by now...I guess she misses me so much..." I said with my head down. She was sad too so she patted me on the back and said "Don't worry,I'll help you get back in your world...so you can finally be with her...". "Thanks..." I said.

Constellation Skye's POV
He sure must've missed her and his friends back in his world...I'm glad I took him here before he lost his hopes. I love him but...I'm just a Constellation version of his Skye...and he loves her more than me,but I'm willing to make this sacrifice and make him happy. Seeing him and Skye happy makes me happy,and there's nothing more that'll change my mind. I looked at the pages of the book and tried to understand everything. "Ok so...to get to the Fountain of Life,you need to go to the Nebula desert,then Star column forest and the land of sink-black holes" I said it out loud for Chase to hear. "Nebula desert? Was that like very windy and hot?" Chase asked and I responded with a little nod(up and down). "Ok so...Star column forest is like a forest but with small-shaped stars that happens to be many,which makes it a bit hard to look for things?" He asked and I responded with a little "Yes". "Sink-black holes? Is that like-" Chase asked but... "Yes...it's filled with sinkholes,and they're black holes... it's going to be easy to go down but hard to climb back up" I responded. "Oh...that doesn't look good..." Chase said. "I can just fly you to the Fountain but that's against the rules when bringing someone back to life" I said in a sarcastic manner. "Ok,to get the fountain to work,you must obtain a small amount of a Nebula cloud from the Nebula desert,then a green pear-shaped star from one of the trees in the Star column forest,and then a small black hole from the Sink-black holes" I continued on with the book,saying it loud enough for Chase to hear. "Then combine the three of these ingredients,soak it in the fountain,feed it to the soul and then let them sit in the fountain until it starts to glow. At this point,the soul who ate the ingredients and sat on the waters of the fountain will be able to return to their world alive and alright" I continued reading the book and Chase was looking at the pages to while we're walking. "This is going to be a long adventure..." Chase said. "But we can do this,Chase. We have to get you back in your world so let's get moving" I said confidently and he followed.

And so...Chase and Constellation Skye's adventure begins! What will happen in Chase's world though? What about his friends there? What is happening to his world while he's gone? Find out in the next chapter!

Author's note: (Spoiler Alert)The next chapter is about Skye,Ryder and the rest of the pups who are waiting for Chase's return. Skye is not just going to stand there and see his boyfriend lifeless like that...
