The fanfic takes place in my own universe, with inspiration from movies and comics.

 "No!"

Tony turned around trying to ignore the blond who had landed on his tower with a bundle clutching his leg.

Until now he had faced all kinds of absurd situations, ridiculous enemies and crazy plans, but even Tony Stark had limits that he was not willing to exceed.

"Asgard is not safe for him, man of metal. Believe me I wouldn't bring him here if all my previous options hadn't failed."

"Thanks to you also for the trust, but the answer is still no."

"The insurgencies in the ten kingdoms have flared up and demand my presence lest it lead to something bigger, I can't keep an eye on him most of the time."

The boy, who tried to hide his bruised face behind the legs of the Norse god, did not appear to be more than seven or eight years old. He looked like a miniature god of mischief, with a few tatters on his clothes and overly long black hair that mostly covered his eyes and made him look much more helpless than the imposing adult version of him.

Thor had assured him that it was a reincarnation, the old Loki that had brought so many headaches to the Avengers had died in combat. He had sided with the good guys in the final fight against Hel and had paid for it with his life. The blond god couldn't get over his grief and begged the Norns to grant him a miracle, thus Loki had been reborn as a little boy only three months ago.

"As childish as you say he is, Loki is a villain and is literally the most unreliable person I know. I can't have him in avengers tower, not with all my tech here."

"Loki hasn't learned how to use his magic yet and has no memories of his past life, he won't be able to do anything dangerous in his child form. If he were stronger he wouldn't need supervision, but my brother has made too many enemies to be left alone when he's most vulnerable."

Tony kept shaking his head, Loki might be a baby god reincarnated, but there was no way he and harmless were in the same sentence. Like Hitler and little bunnies.

"I have no other place to put it. Even if my brother ends up going down the wrong path again it would be better if he was under surveillance by the avengers... please, there is no safer place on earth than Stark Tower." Thor had used puppy dog eyes letting Tony heave a defeated sigh. The damn bastard knew how to get away with hitting his weak spots with words as strong as a hammer blow. He was wondering if manipulation was some elective class that was taken in Asgard.

"If I agree to let Loki stay here, it will be under my rules. No excuse. There's no way I'm going to let you put Earth in danger again."

That included that he would take whatever steps he deemed necessary to ensure the safety of his planet.

"He won't, my friend, and I trust Loki will be safe in your tower, I couldn't forgive me if I left him in a hostile place again."

The big man lowered his shoulders, relaxing them, and his posture made Tony aware of the tension he had been building up to that moment. There was no doubt that Thor loved his brother and had found himself desperate to find a place that would guarantee the safety of the youngest.
