A few weeks had passed since the last big incident.

Loki had been freed from his anti-magic Stark bracelets, although Tony had become much more distant with him since then, barely approaching him and deliberately ignoring him spending entire days locked in the workshop.

Some time ago, Loki had suffered every time Tony decided to hug him or kiss his forehead, knowing that all that affection would not go as far as he wanted.

Now that he avoided touching him at all, he would have prayed to go back to then. The pranks weren't helping to gain his attention and the rest of the avengers had begun to look at him with pity so he had decided to leave before feeling drowned in the tower.

He kicked a Coke can all the way down the hill until he heard screams. They came from a woman who was being robbed by a man who had a revolver in his hand. He turned to leave, he didn't know this woman and it wasn't his problem.

A new cry made him stop in his tracks. It came from a child, quite small. He had come out from behind the garbage cans where he was hiding demanding that he leave his mother alone. The horrified woman had screamed again asking him to run before the man changed targets.

"Hey, idiot." Loki had teleported in between the man and the other two. "If you leave right now, I won't do anything to you."

"Mom, look, He's Loki... he's one of the bad guys." The boy had said while his mother covered his mouth in horror.

The man had gotten scared and had fired his gun at him, hitting the god in the shoulder and he hissed in pain.

"Did you shoot me? Do you know it will take hours to heal?! And Bruce's alcohol hurts!"

Loki wiggled his fingers and the gun was enveloped in a halo of green energy that compressed it into a useless ball of metal. The man watched in horror as he was helpless and cornered before the god of mischief.

"I don't know what's next now." Loki put his fingers to his chin thoughtfully. "I'm not going to hit you because it would be disgusting to get your blood on my clothes, I know! I'll turn you into a chicken!"

The man shrieked and immediately fell to his knees beginning to beg.

"Turn me over to the police, please!"

Loki smiled mischievously and chains of green energy immobilized the man.

"Do you think you can handle him now?"

The woman nodded, pulling the Starkphone out of her to call the police.

"You're hurt, do you want me to call an ambulance for you?"

Loki denied, it was a minor injury. He maybe he even he could take advantage of it to get Tony's attention.

But she took a handkerchief out of her bag and pressed her wound to prevent any more blood from flowing out.

"Thank you very much for saving our lives."

Loki's cheeks flushed red and he immediately disappeared from there in a ball of green smoke.

"Loki!"

The teenager hit the pause button on the controller and the video game froze as he turned on the couch and looked at Tony.

He was grinning from ear to ear with the newspaper in his hand.

«The god of mischief, Loki, decides to do a good deed» read the headline. The news continued with the interview with the almost robbed woman. Loki opened his mouth, surprised. When had they managed to take a picture of her? Was there a journalist on every street corner in New York?
