Loki had gotten better at controlling his powers by leaps and bounds over the last few weeks. Right now, he was concentrating his gaze on the fridge door, a few feet from where he was standing, which slammed open. He suppressed the urge to yell "Yay!" The hardest part remained.
The pitcher of water rose unsteadily in the air, he had to get it to reach the counter where it would fill the glass he had placed there without spilling a single drop.
His fingers moved slowly guiding it towards his target until a noise in his ear made him startle and the jug crashed to the ground breaking into pieces and splashing all the water it contained.
When he turned around, Clint was looking at him with a smile, in his right hand he had a needle and in the other the remains of a balloon.
Steve, the only other person in the room, glared at the archer with as much reproach as he could muster.
"What? It was just a joke. Little Matilda plays tricks on me all the time."
The soldier ignored him as he walked up to them.
"Loki, don't move. Crystals."
Steve sat the boy on the counter while he cleaned up the mess, though Loki was still going to have to change his clothes.

The thing that Loki still loved to do more than anything since he had come to the tower was to lie on the shag rug in the library, by the fireplace.
There, he would devour book after book until he fell asleep and then, Tony would come for him, carry him like a prince, and tuck him into the bed they still shared. It was one of the few routines he could follow without fuss.
However, that day he was woken up by loud music.
"You don't like slipknot?"
Clint was smirking with the player very close to his ear.Loki glared at him, but he only managed to rub his eyes sleepily. Wow, he was no fun with the kid being so out of shape.
"Okay, go to bed," he said, waving his hand.
Loki seriously tried, he crossed the library almost to the end and went back to sleep leaning against the wall.
Damn.
The archer scratched his head, he didn't think the day would come when he would take pity on Loki, but the mini god looked so pathetic sleeping on his feet that he ended up carrying him in his arms.
As soon as he was picked up, the boy automatically curled up against his chest, totally asleep. Damn again.
"I'll just take you until we find Tony, brat." He growled softly, avoiding raising his voice too much so as not to wake him up.

It was movie night again on the Avengers common floor.
Steve, Bruce, Natasha, Clint and Tony took their usual seats along the large sofas in the living room as they devoured the boxes of Indian food they had ordered. The only one who remained on the ground, focused on playing with his toys, was Loki.
