This is the eighth chapter of the fourth Willimeena installment: 'Hell Hath No Fury'!

While keeping a look out for the murderous animatronics, Sheriff Hudson and Deputy Lund have a little chat.

Lund turns out to have some rather interesting observations ... concerning Willimeena Weasel.

In the left side corridor, Willy's Wonderland, a few mins later ...

"Do you still think that this was a good idea, Sheriff?" Deputy Lund said dryly, as she threw her boss a cynical glance.

Hudson just glared at her, having little to zero patience for Lund's sarcasm.

"Shaddup, Lund!" the Sheriff snapped, his hands tightening on his gun. "Just find us a way out of this damned, evil place!"

The two police officers were currently sneaking through the left side corridor, guns raised, and were also very, VERY tense!

The corridor's lights weren't working properly, and kept randomly turning on and off ... casting deep shadows around the pair.

It hadn't helped that they'd been attacked within SECONDS of entering said corridor either! Well ... strictly speaking; it was Lund who'd been attacked ... by Siren Sara!

The giggling fairy had abruptly appeared before them ... as if from nowhere ... and immediately tried to take a bite out of Lund's gun arm!

The deputy's training and good instincts had helped her to avoid the majority of the bite ... but Lund was still left with a lacerated arm!

Good thing that she was still able to shoot with it though!

Sheriff Hudson had quickly improvised a bandage out of Lund's torn sleeve, openly relieved that it wasn't a serious injury!

If they were getting out of this hellhole at all, Hudson needed his deputy to carry on as much as possible!

Despite gritting her teeth in pain, said woman was indeed carrying on ... holding her gun in her uninjured hand.

The two police officers had quickly fired off a fusillade of shots at Siren Sara; ripping a few holes in her sparkly blue wings.

The animatronic fairy had merely scoffed and dodged the majority of the bullets; vanishing as mysteriously as she'd appeared.

Said encounter has deeply unnerved the officers ... and nearly terrified them to death!

With no signs of their townsfolk colleagues, increasingly ominous silence around them, and Lund's injury ... Hudson was actually thinking that maybe she was right?

Maybe ... this hadn't been a good idea, after all?

"What was up with you earlier, Lund?" the Sheriff abruptly asked, trying to steer his mind away from their bad situation.

His deputy's tense gaze immediately flicked to him, while pressing a hand down on her injured arm.

"Hmmmm?"

"After the sports game attack?" Hudson reminded Lund, turning to look at her full-on. "You were acting kind of strange?"

The deputy's eyes widened as she remembered the huge attack that had taken place earlier.
