This is the twentieth chapter of the fourth Willimeena installment: 'Hell Hath No Fury'!

Arabia refuses to turn her beloved dad in ... causing Jerry and his crew to be touched by the child's innocent sincerity.

The police also continue to pursue the escapees' van, prompting the latter to 'return'! I hope that you guys like it! 👍

The sincere words instantly shattered the dark thoughts and self-loathing in her dad's head; shock and love welling up in their places.

Speaking frankly ... Jerry Robert Willis had never ever experienced this kind of thing before!

Acceptance and love, even with knowledge of his bad actions ... felt like a dream. But one that was real ... very, VERY real!

The serial killer chief had truly expected to be abandoned ... one day ... when Arabia had eventually found out the truth.

The fact that his little angel still loved him, and still considered him her daddy ...

Once again in his life ... Jerry Willis felt truly touched by little Arabia's sincere affection for him.

The serial killer chief's crew were also touched by this development; staring at the child in utter amazement.

Dr Fine was in a similar state; but of disbelief and befuddlement.

Jerry smiled, satisfied in the knowledge that those around him now realised why Arabia is special.

The moment was suddenly broken by the sudden harsh screams of police sirens ... in the distance, but closing rapidly!

Jerry's head instantly snaps around to look in his left side mirror ... and sees several police cars appear behind them!

They were in the distance, but closing rapidly all the same!

"Damn it! The cops have found us!" the serial killer chief cursed under his breath, looking uneasy.

"STOP THE VAN! LET US HAVE DR FINE!"

Said psychologist looked both potentially hopeful at the possibility of being saved ... but also uneasy about whether it would work?

Jerry's crew looked similarly nervous as well; flinching and putting hands to their makeshift weapons.

"Oh no!" Ozzie muttered, his eyes zipping from the van's rear doors to his colleagues.

"¡Maldita sea, maldita sea, maldita sea! (Damn it, damn it, damn it!)" Tito hissed, pulling another razor blade out of a pocket to join his other one.

"Looks like we've got us some company, Mr Willis!" Gus said worriedly, while cracking his knuckles.

"What do you want us to do?"

"Yeah! What do we do, boss?" Karl added, looking desperately at his leader.

All of the other escapees did exactly the same ... seeking a way out of this new trouble!

Jerry, on the other hand, didn't really look that perturbed ... at least not outwardly. The only sign of tension in his face was a slightly furrowed brow.

"Daddy?" Arabia asked, looking a little nervous herself ... and hugging Willimeena tightly.

Her dad immediately looked over, and his expression quickly softened into a reassuring smile.

Jerry patted her comfortingly on the back with a hand, and then returned it to the wheel.

"You'll be fine, Bia", he said, soothingly.

"We ALL will be fine!" the serial killer chief added, turning to give his crew a reassuring wink.

"The police have yet to catch a vehicle with ME behind the wheel! Hold on tight, everyone!"

Jerry then pressed down hard on the accelerator ... making the van scoot ahead of the other vehicles on the road!

Drivers swerved and swore as the cultists' van shot past them, followed by the pursuing police cars!

———

A few miles on ...

While Jerry & Co had managed to stay ahead of the police so far ... they hadn't managed to lose them yet. That was very annoying!

What was even more infuriating than that ... was the repeated demand on police loudspeakers to release Dr Fine!

The serial killer chief rolled his eyes, Arabia grimaced, and the others all groaned as the order was repeated yet again! For the umpteenth time!

"Actually, guys ..." Jerry finally spoke, through gritted teeth. "Let's do as they say!"

The serial killer chief abruptly turned in his seat to give Gus a meaningful look!

"Give them what they want, Gus!" Jerry ordered, with a toothy smirk!

"My pleasure, boss!" the aforementioned man replied, with a deep chuckle.

"Say goodbye to the 'nice doctor', Bia", Jerry added to his daughter. "She's leaving."

Arabia promptly turned in her seat, and gave a hesitant, little wave to Dr Fine.

The psychologist gave the little girl a little smile, but then yelped in alarm as Gus suddenly grabbed her!

Dr Fine flinched and whimpered in fear, as Gus promptly hoisted her high above his head.

Ozzie and Sara share a sly smile, and then open the rear doors simultaneously ... just as the police issued another demand!

"STOP THE VEHICLE AND LET THE DOCTOR GO! REPEAT! LET US HAVE DR FINE!"

"Whatever you say, fellas!" Gus called ... and then threw Dr Fine clean out of the back of the van!

"Look out!" a police officer in the first police car yelled as he saw what was happening!

The psychologist screamed as she flew through the air ... and fatally smashed through the aforementioned police car's windscreen!

"Those sick ******!" another officer in the same car muttered, as he grimaced at the horrific sight! "Hold on!"

Jerry smirked as he saw the pursuing police cars slow to a halt, to deal with the fallen doctor.

Other cars blared their horns in annoyance as they stopped in a massive traffic jam around the police!

All of this was a big help to the escapees, who all cheered as they finally pulled away from the police!

"Woohoo!" Karl yelled, punching the air with both fists!

"Yeah! High-five, buddy!" Arty declared, slapping hands with Gus in a hearty way.

Sara too high-fived the big man, and then shut the rear van doors with Arty.

Arabia was hugging Willimeena in relief, to the equal relief of her beloved dad.

"Well done, Gus!" Jerry said, giving said man a nod of approval in the rear view mirror.

Ozzie gives Cammy a quick hug, and then walks over to Jerry's seat.

"That was bloody brilliant, boss!" the gangly chap said admiringly.

The serial killer chief, basking in Ozzie's adoration ... smirked, but kept his eyes on the road ahead.

"Well, I did say ... didn't I ... that the 'good doctor' might come in useful?" Jerry quipped, with a chuckle.

Ozzie laughed wheezily with his boss, but his smile abruptly vanished ... as he saw something in the incoming distance!

What do you think Ozzie saw in the distance that distressed him? Vote and comment if you like it! 👍
