In a corridor, asylum wing 3, the asylum ...

... A week later in the past ...

It was nighttime now, and the asylum was shutting down for bedtime.

All of the security doors were being locked and barred, all patients were in their rooms, and more staff were patrolling the corridors.

One such staffer was walking through a corridor in Asylum Wing 3, with a pen and clipboard.

He was especially nervous, rightly so ... as that particular wing housed all of the worst patients in the establishment!

"Time for all my crazies to go night-night!" the man muttered, as he went from door to door.

"Take your pills and lights out, you little maniacs", the staffer said, as he glanced through the peek-hole in one door.

The sign over it said 'Room 3C'.

The 'pills' in question: were a little 'sleeping aid' that Dr Fine recommended to all of the patients at bedtime.

Plus ... it helped to lessen the chance of 'nighttime escapades'.

"Pleasant nightmares", the aforementioned chap added ... to the 'sleeping' form on the bed inside.

Then the staffer suddenly paused for a moment ... frowning in confusion.

Something about this 'sleeping patient' was ... giving him the wrong feeling?

Like ... something was wrong?

Shaking his head, the man decided to just check the lock and go ... but got a terrible shock!

The staffer gasped with shock when he gripped the doorknob, and felt the door abruptly swing open ... without any need for unlocking?!

"What the hell?!"

The door ... had already been unlocked.

EARLIER.

In Room 3C, seconds later ...

In rushed the man, as quick as a flash ... throwing the door wide open in his panic!

The staffer made his way to the covered form in the bed, and swiftly yanked the blankets away!

This revealed ... a roughly-crafted dummy dressed in a familiar orange shirt.

Gulping and turning very pale, the man staggered back and grabbed at his radio communicator.

"Yo, Jimmy! Max here," the staffer spoke hurriedly into said device.

"Yeah. What is it?" came the curt reply back.

"I think we have a problem ... with Room 3C. It's empty ... and the door was unlocked." There was silence, and then a quiet gulp.

"But that's—"

"Yeah, it's Willis's room", Max said grimly. "I'll be right with you!" The man then turned, and ran out of the room as fast as he could go!
