Everyone turned as a white van and a police car suddenly drove into the courtyard, and parked.

The police car driver's door opened, and the grim-faced Sheriff of Hayesville got out. Some orderlies in blue outfits got out of from the white van.

Then the newcomers all headed in a group towards one of the adult staff members ... a woman with long, black hair.

"Excuse me, madam ... do you know where Camilla Love is?" Sheriff Hudson said, in a matter-of-fact voice. He then sent the female staffer a 'meaningful' look.

"We're here on official business." The woman sighed, smiling sadly.

"I see. Poor girl", she said softly ... and then pointed over at Jed and Cammy. "That's her over there, with her brother."

The Sheriff nodded silently, as the blue-clad people immediately headed over to the aforementioned girl.

"Hey! What are you doing?" Cammy protested in panic, as the orderlies quickly grabbed her. "Get off me!!"

Jed was in a similar state of stress, as the little boy desperately tried to pry the strangers off his sister!

"Yeah! Get off her! That's my big sister!" he yelled, as two staffers kindly but firmly restrained him.

Feeling sympathetic for the poor boy, Sheriff Hudson walks over to Jed as well.

"Sorry, son", he said, putting a comforting hand on the boy's shoulder. "The adults here have reported your sister to us, as a 'dangerous person'."

Several mixed emotions flew across Jed's face in that moment. Bewilderment, anger, dismay, fear, and disbelief.

"She must be confined away from 'decent people' ... at least for a while", Hudson continued, as he turned to watch the screaming Cammy being gagged.

"But my sister isn't dangerous?!" her brother protested, earnestly. "She IS a decent person, sir!" he added, turning pleading eyes on the Sheriff.

Hudson just sighed, and rolled his eyes.

"Look, kid ... why don't you leave the decisions to us, and go back to playing conkers", the Sheriff said, slightly condescendingly.

"The adults will handle it from here."

Jed wiped away angry tears as he turned away from Hudson to look back at his sister.

A crying Cammy is quickly strapped into a straitjacket, and bundled into the white van.

She looks sorrowfully across at her little brother ... as the van's back doors close, hiding her from view.

"Cammy ..." Jed sobbed, breaking into heartbreaking tears. Hudson clears his throat awkwardly, as the Sheriff tried reassuring the sad child.

"Don't worry, little guy ... your sister won't be away for long!" he said, with forced joviality. "You'll be back together ... in next to no time at all!"

Cammy's brother only cried harder, as he ignored Hudson entirely.

The aforementioned Sheriff, now looking very uncomfortable, cleared his throat again as he turned away.
