The following morning, "Good morning, Twinkle." Shimmer said while making breakfast.
"Huh, oh. Morning." Twinkle said as she sat down.
"Did you sleep well?" Shimmer asked curiously.
"Um, kinda." Twinkle replied.
"What do you mean, kinda?" Shimmer asked with concern.
"Cause I met my mean counterpart in my dreamscape last night." Twinkle replied.
"Mean Twinkle was in your dreamscape, are you sure?" Shimmer asked in confusion.
"Look Shimmer, I know what I saw." Twinkle replied as she slammed her front hooves on the table in anger.
"Ok, ok. I believe you." Shimmer said as she set breakfast down on the table. "What did she say?"
"Mean Twinkle said that she used an old spell to get into my dreamscape. She found it at that old castle in the Everfree Forest." Twinkle replied.
"Hmm, I see." Shimmer said as she sat down. "Did she say anything else?"
"Yeah, she said that she prefers to be called Torture instead of Mean Twinkle." Twinkle replied.
"Interesting." Shimmer said before she ate her breakfast.
"So, are you gonna talk to Suffer about it?" Twinkle asked in between bites.
"Wait, what? How did you find out that I been talking to her?" Shimmer asked in disbelief.
"Oh come on, Shimmer. You didn't actually think that I wouldn't find out, did you?" Twinkle asked in reply.
"Um, no. It's just I didn't want ponies to think about it the wrong way." Shimmer replied as she took her dishes to the sink.
"Oh, ok. I'm sorry if you didn't want me to know." Twinkle said.
"No, no. It's okay, really." Shimmer said.
"So, are you gonna talk to her?" Twinkle asked.
"Yes. In fact, how would you like to go with me?" Shimmer replied by asking.
"Really, sounds fun." Twinkle replied.
"Alright let's go." Shimmer said.
