As they arrived at Shimmer's castle, "So this is where Shimmer lives, not bad." Sprinkle said.
"Focus, Sprink." Minty said.
"Minty is right. There's a serious matter at hoof." Pinkie said.
"I'm gonna knock, if that's ok?" Cheese asked.
"Of course Cheese, go right ahead." Pinkie replied.
"Thanks." Cheese said as he knocked on the black double doors.
"Halt! Who goes there?" A voice asked.
"Pinkie, Minty, Cheese and Sprinkle." Pinkie replied.
"Oh, my apologies." The owner of the voice said before opening the doors. It's owner was a small, purple and white dragon wearing a gold heart shaped locket around it's neck.
"Long time no see, Cortana." Pinkie said.
"And to you as well." Cortana said. "Pleasure to meet you, Miss Doughnut."
"Just call me Sprinkle." Sprinkle said.
"Ok, will do." Cortana said with a smile. Cortana led them through the castle to Shimmer's office.
"Cheese! Girls! What are you guys doing here?" Shimmer asked curiously.
"Shimmer, we have a problem." Pinkie replied.
"Follow me." Shimmer said as she led them to a bookcase, located at the back of the office.
"Uh Shimmer, did you hear me?" Pinkie asked.
"Yes I did." Shimmer replied.
"Good. So what are you doing?" Pinkie replied by asking.
"Opening this." Shimmer replied as the bookcase they were standing in front of suddenly split and opened like doors.
"Woah." Sprinkle said.
"How'd she do that?" Cheese asked curiously.
"Shimmer's castle is full of secrets." Minty explained in reply.
"Everypony follow me." Shimmer said as she led them down the stairs.
"Ooh, this is spooky." Pinkie said.
"Ok, everypony have a seat." Shimmer said as Pinkie, Minty and Sprinkle sat down.
"Wait there's only four." Cheese said.
"Sit with Pinkie." Shimmer suggested as she sat down.
"Ok." Cheese said as he sat next to Pinkie.
"Now, somepony tell me what's going on?" Shimmer asked.
"I will." Minty replied.
"Well let's hear it." Shimmer said.
"Mean Shimmer came to my house disguised as you, took a syringe of my blood and left." Minty said.
"That's not all, Minty." Sprinkle said.
"Yeah." Pinkie agreed.
"Alright." Minty said. "She goes by Suffer now and the reason she took my blood is so she can create her own version of me."
"Did she say anything else?" Shimmer asked curiously.
"Oh, yeah she did. She said that she wants friends so she plans on cloning Pinkie and Sprinkle as well." Minty replied.
"I see. This is very bad." Shimmer said.
"What are we gonna do, Shimmer?" Pinkie asked nervously.
"I don't know, Pinkie. I really don't know." Shimmer replied.
"Well we've got to do something." Sprinkle said. "Didn't you guys beat her before?"
"Yes." Shimmer replied.
"See? We can beat her." Sprinkle said.
"However, it appears she has gained more power." Shimmer commented. "Sprinkle, the only thing we could do, is to prevent you and Pinkie from being alone. And even then I don't think that would work, let alone be possible." Shimmer then slammed her head down.
"Come on, Shimmer. There has to be something?" Pinkie asked.
"I really don't think there is." Shimmer replied as she lifted her head back up.
All of a sudden, Cheese's cutie mark started to make noise, "Oh, no. I know what that means." Cheese said.
"What! 'Cheesie Sense' this is really, not a good time." Pinkie said in disbelief.
"Hold on, what's 'Cheesie Sense'?" Sprinkle asked in confusion.
"It's Cheese's sixth sense. It let's him know when a party is in need of him." Shimmer explained in reply.
"It's also part of our magical connection and if he ignores it then he gets really sick." Pinkie added.
"So, he has to leave?" Sprinkle wondered.
"Fraid so." Cheese said with a sigh.
"You'll be back later tonight, right?" Pinkie asked with tears filling her eyes and her mane and tail slightly deflated.
"I don't think so." Cheese replied.
"What! Why?" Pinkie cried out, her mane and tail now fully deflated.
"Well due to how late in the day, it already is." Cheese replied while stroking her mane.
"But, but, what if Suffer comes for me?" Pinkie asked nervously.
"I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do." Cheese replied with tears in his eyes. "I must go now. See you tomorrow, ok?"
"Ok." Pinkie replied. "Wait, I will see you in the dreamscape, right?"
"Of course. Sweet dreams, Pinkie." Cheese replied.
"Gouda night, Cheese." Pinkie said as we all watched him leave.
"I think that we should all go home and rest." Shimmer suggested.
"Ok. Good night, guys." Sprinkle said as trotted up the stairs.
"Bye guys." Minty said as she galloped up the stairs. "Sprink, wait for me!"
"Night, Shimmer." Pinkie said as she slowly trotted up the stairs
"Good Night, girls. Be safe." Shimmer said as she flew up the stairs. Once they were all back in Shimmer's office, she closed the bookcase and had Cortana escort them to the entrance of the castle. Shimmer watched them from her balcony before she went to sleep.
~Meanwhile~
"So, Cheese won't be back until morning, huh? I like the sound of that. Looks like Pinkie is my target tonight. And I know just how to get her." Suffer thought to herself before letting out an evil laugh.
