Next movement after a long brisk shower was heading to the kitchen to make dinner since Donny would be hungry but his arrogance would not make him talk to me so I decided to make spaghetti.
"I've made dinner." I announced to him, sticking my head to his room. He spun his head in my direction then placed one of his books down.
"Wow, okay." He got off his bed following me as our footsteps kept our surroundings silent.
"You actually made spaggs?" His eyes shone directly at me, twinkling with awe with a wide smile making way to his cherry lips before running over and lunging himself at me
"It's okay Don, it's just spaghetti nothing more."
"Correction, it is not just spaghetti." He got off me, going round the dinning table to have his seat across from me. Later when I finished, I oedt Adonis while he was still eating his third plate. I've had enough of that little guy.
I ascended the stairs with heaviness in my chest, I knew something was up and I was yet to find out though I had a clue, I was so certain what it was. When u got to my room again, I scanned every corner of it and took note that something wasn't right. I shut the wooden door as I eyed the white paper laying so comfortably under my clock radio. A loud gasp left my mouth. After I got back from school this evening, I knew something wasn't right when I didn't see any trace of the message.
I shuffled to where eit was before snatching it.
Just a reminder
Don't let your mouth break loose. My eyes red. I didn't waste any millisecond in ripping it into an unreadable fun, I threw it to where it belonged - to the trash. I got to the floor, resting my back on my bed. Why is all this happening to me? Just me. I don't want this type of life, I didn't choose to be a victim if whatever this is. Who the hell is this idiot that likes to see me in misery. Sure thing, the person has to be a sick bastard.
My eyes woke up when it was almost six so I went down the stairs to catch up with Don, sure he was there but with someone and that 'someone' has to be Phil with his deep, dulcet voice. I slowly closed the distance between us, curious to hear what they were conversing about. Something has to be up if Adonis is talking in his sotto voice. I halt on my tracks when Phil nodded his head and added something to what Don had said but what my ears caught was 'when you get her number'
"Get whose number?" My mouth ran before I could think, causing two heads to turn to where I stood. They both exchanged glances as Phil had a smirk on while Adonis tongue started to attack his upper lip. His head spun back to Phil to give him a curt nod.
"Okay, this little guy here… has been debating whether or not to get a 'girl's' number in his school." My mouth hung open. Those words were like a drum of ice falling on me, "not just any girl but his principal's daugh-er." He added with a bit of British tone at the edge.
"Principal's daughter? Adonis, that's risky."
"Is it?" He grins, his eyes twinkling with all sorts of confidence, "if it was then Phil would've said so."
My eyes shot back to Phil whose eyes were already on me, "how is that not risky? Anything can happen and-"
"Nothing bad will happen," they both said at the same second.
"I'm gonna be careful, not like Alyssa's a snitch." He shrugged confidently.
"I still don't go with it, I don't want you to get into trouble -"
"And I do?" Phil cuts me off, his Adam's apple moves.
"I know you don't but still," I sat between them, "you should be very careful Don, she's your principal's daughter."
"Yeah yeah, it's just to get her number."
"Are you sure it isn't more than that?" Phil elevated an eyebrow at him without that smirk slipping off a bit, "you told me earlier that you like her."
My brother slapped his forehead, "fine, I've been crushing on her for about two weeks now and there's nothing bad in trying."
I still do not go with this, he was going to date his principal's daughter and if anything happens, he might get blamed for it, mom and dad will eventually find out and they'll ground and scold him and the worst is if they get to know I'm also involved.
"Vi stop overthinking." I sensed someone's palm cowering over mine and rubbing it, bringing warmth. I stared at the large palm that didn't stop to play with mine.
"I'm not overthinking, I'm just worried." I replied to Phil.
"Yeah, it's still the same." Don chuckled, not bothering about Phil's bold move now but I know he certainly kept it at the back of his head to tease me about later.
"There's a difference." I defended myself, still enjoying my state and proximity with Phil who still hasn't stopped. Adonis wasn't thinking and it seemed like he was in his own world.
"I'm going to the bathroom." He whispered beside me before tiptoeing to whatever patg he was heading to. We both jnow that was a lie.
"When did you arrive?" I queried Phil as he directed his eyes back at me.
"Not too long ago, I wanted to see you but Don told me you were taking a nap so…" he shrugs, biting his lips and still not making any move if leaving my palm. He stared at it like he was gauging the difference between mine and his before I caught his glimpse again, "is it just me that loves the way it fits? Like the way they look molded together?"
My system jiggled, excitement taking over it while I scanned our palms that were linked together. This has to be the best moment of my life. His deep brown eyes came across mine, again, again and again before holding it for a long moment without any of us daring to break it. It is a very good thing he can't know how fast my chest was pounding. It's him, just because of him. But then, I'm sure my eyes were giving inspiration to what my body is going through with our proximity, his palm offering warmth that I've been missing out on.
"You've got plans for today?" He lowly asked.
"Plans?" I snorted, "do I look like someone that's got plans?"
He shakes his head, "it doesn't show on people's faces Vi." His unoccupied hand travelled to my hair. The action might seem small but not to my heartbeat, the feeling it introduced to my system. I don't want it to stop either. We could be like this, forever.
"Um, something's in your hair, mind if I help to get it out?" He squinted his eyes at something in my hair while I nodded at his quest since my mouth was dry, it was the least thing I could trust at the moment.
He did his desk with my hair clean and soothingly, "did you-"
"What the hell!"
I would have liked the loud, poisonous and aggressive voice if we weren't in this situation.
