Playing games

Sirius

Prongs has recruited me in his mission. Apparently he is on day 17 on getting Regulus to be comfortable here. Of course James had a mission like that.

It's interesting. He seemed to actively avoid prongs for like a week and then he barely interacted with him.

But then I saw one of their interactions just the two of them properly and I stopped believing Regulus completely when he said he didn't like him. I knew that when he said he didn't like someone it wasn't necessarily true, but I liked to believe him until proven wrong.

Now it's been a little more than a month. Even prongs won't say they are friends until Regulus says they are, but Reggie was definitely friends with him by then.

Anyway, today's goal was to get Regulus to play a board game with us.

"Regulus!" I marched into his room

"What do you want?"

"To hang out with us." I flopped down on his bed.

He swung his legs over so he was sitting on the edge of his bed. "No, leave me alone."

"Come on, you've been hanging out alone all day."

"At least James has the decency to wait until it's not morning."

"Just drink some coffee, emo."

"No. Go talk to Mr sunshine."

"You know I'm telling him you said that."

"If you have to, tell him I mean it like an insult."

"No, you don't. Now stop whinging and come downstairs."

"No."

"Fine, I'm bringing prongs in here."

"He has some rule to not talk to me before lunch."

"It was his idea to ask you to play. He just doesn't want you to hate him."

"He does not think I'm going to hate him."

"You sure?"

He frowned. "Get out."

I sent prongs up and he came down two minutes later.

"Seriously?" I raised a brow at him

Regulus matched my brow. "No. He's James."

"You hate when I make name puns."

"It's better when I do it."

"Boys, bosh, don't fight, we can instead.." he pulled out uno. "Play uno!"

"Nope, nope, that's boring." Regulus stood up, acting like he was just going to leave.

"We have pretty much every board game, but neither of you would pick."

"Bring them out and I will try."

Prongs brought his big bin of games up. (Big enough that bringing them up from the basement is basically a workout)

"Unexploded cows?" Regulus commented, holding up a game.

"Great game." James said

I smirked, "look at the other ones."

Regulus grabbed another. "Exploding kittens?"

"I love that game." James said

"You seem too calm about a game about murder." He looked back at the game. "I'm a cat person." He looked right at me.

"Ah," I said. "I guess we are planning exploding kittens."

"That's mean, pads." Prongs insisted. "Cats are cute."
