Upside Down

STEVES POV:
Everything was getting blurry and it was hard to breathe.. All of a sudden, I heard a thud and a bat stop ripping at me. "I said be careful." I recognised that voice, it was July. I chuckled slightly, it was pretty hard since I could barely breathe. I saw figures hitting the bats away felt the bats tail around my neck loosen. I slowly regained my vision and gasped for air. Everyone was down here to help me? I smiled slightly as they continued to fight the bats.

YOUR POV:
I knew something was wrong, he was down there for too long. As I was fighting the bats, I saw Steve stand up and grab one by its tail. He started slamming it against the ground as the others flew away. Then just like that- He ripped it in half. He spat the blood out of his mouth and looked at me. I smiled at him and he smiled back. Eddie looked around and started to shout, "CHRIST!" I went over to Robin to see if she was okay. "That looks like it hurts." Nancy said to Steve. "A little bit." He replied and chuckled lowly. "I'll be fine." He added. I stared at them. I felt this sudden feeling... I'm not too sure what it was but I despised Nancy in that moment. Eddie come over and whispered in my ear, "You like... him?" I was still staring at him, he wasn't half bad to look at. "Don't be silly." I responded to Eddie. "I barely know him and he made your life hell." But I couldn't stop staring at him. "So we're stuck here! Fantastic." Robin suddenly spoke. She had been pretty quiet. "We wouldn't be stuck if someone listened to me." I scoffed at Steve. God! This was all his fault. "It wouldn't have happened if YOU listened to ME!" He looked at me, trying to be angry but... It's clear he wasn't. "I told you the plan was stupid." He added. I laughed, "You've told me a lot these past two days." "Guys, focus!" Nancy shouted. I could tell she was sick of our bickering, but I couldn't help it. Steve Harrington is annoying. "We need to find a way out." Eddie spoke as he walked a bit ahead of us, grabbing my hand and dragging me with him.

"Skull rock." Steve said slowly. "You know, I made this place a th-" He suddenly cut off as he fell into the rock. I looked over at him, worried. "Steve? Are you okay?" I looked down at his chest which had pounds of flesh ripped out. "Oh wow- Okay. Sit down." He sat down on the floor, his back leant against the rock. I sat in front of him and started to rip some of my shirt off to create a bandage. He let out a slight yell of pain. "Jules went to med camp last year, so we know you won't die." Robin laughed awkwardly. She doesn't do well with gorey things, so she must have thought she was helping. "Well that's great." Steve responded. He must be thinking the same as me because he looked at me with a slight smile which I returned. Robin laughed. "Arms up." I ordered. He did as I said. "Sorry if it hurts." I added. "It's fine." He said with a soft chuckle. I looked up at him. He had his hands on his face and his head was upwards. I guess he didn't want to look at his wounds. I finished bandaging them up.

Eddie climbed one of the rocks, avoiding the vines to not let the demobats know we're here. "It's not the ugliest thing I've seen. Jules definitely takes that top spot." I looked at him and rolled my eyes, laughing. "It's a good place to resume the plan." I stood up and helped Steve up, putting his arm around my shoulder to help him balance. Eddie nodded and let out a slow, "Yep.." He slowly climbed down from the rock. It must have been harder to get down that up because he nearly slipped multiple times. "What exactly is the plan?" Nancy said awkwardly. I forgot she's been busy with her boyfriend so we forgot to fill her in. "You don't know?" Eddie laughed. "If I did, I wouldn't be asking." She retorted. Robin agreed with her. I guess it's only me and Eddie who know. I looked at him and let a loud sigh. This would be hard to explain to 3 people. "You do know Jules has been cursed by Vecna, right?" He said eventually. I stayed silent and looked at them all who had shocked expressions. I eventually looked at Eddie, giving him the look of 'I wanted to keep it a secret'. "I wasn't told this part." Steve replied. He looked down at me and I avoided his gaze. "They're... Cursed? So what's happened to those 3 people, will happen to July?" He looked like he wanted to fight Vecna which made me feel a bit safe. Eddie nodded in response to him. "Is this Steve's protective arc?" She laughed at him to which he rolled his eyes. Eddie suddenly threw his denim jacket at Steve and shouted, "Modesty!!" He looked at me with an annoyed expression and moved his arm away from around my shoulders and put the jacket on.

STEVES POV:
July, Robin and Nancy were walking ahead, they said they were having a talk and we weren't allowed to be part of it. So I was stuck with Eddie. "Hey, can you back off Jules?" He looked at me, deadly serious. "I've liked them for a long time." I raised my eyebrows. "Are you being serious? You can't tell me to back off someone." I retorted. If he's liked them for a long time, then why hasn't he asked them out? "Because they like you back! Clearly.. They just don't show it. I was going to leave you here by yourself but as soon as you were in the water for one second too long, they jumped right on in. I just want a shot with them.. Then you can have them." My eyes widened. They jumped in first? I smiled to myself. So they don't hate me. "So what do you say, Harrington?" He added. I looked at him then smirked. "It isn't a challenge, Eddie, let them choose." I walked off, leaving him walking slower behind me.

YOUR POV:
We got to Eddie's trailer where the other gate is. I looked through and saw the kids smiling and waving. I waved back. They dropped an extended sheet through the gate to make a rope. "Tug on it." Dustin yelled. I guess he didn't think we could hear him properly because he yelled quite loud. Robin tugged on it then her eyes lit up. She always got happy over the smallest things. Dustin and Lucas dragged Eddie's mattress right under the gate. "Those stains are..." Eddie spoke. Everyone looked at him with a disgusted face. "I don't know what those stains are." He continued. I let out a little laugh as he started to climb the rope. What Dustin had planned worked out perfectly. He got through the gate and landed safely on the mattress. "That was fun!" He said, excitedly. Then Robin went, then Nancy and then Steve looked at me. "You go next." I nodded and started to climb the rope. But as soon as I got through the gate, it was complete darkness and I felt like I was falling for years. I could do nothing but let out a scream..
